Nov 3, 2009 - Brillant! I loved this song in 1984, my "Punk rocker-Goth" friends turned me on to this, as I was a "Metal-head". they also showed me The Specials, The Member others...I turned them on to Motorhead, Yngiwe Malmsteen and others...the 80's were a GREAT time because there was a HUGE sharing of artisic ideas without a lot of animosity between musical "factions". Grunge and Rap music was the DEATH of creativity, it's been a downward sprial ever since....

Nov 3, 2009 - Best accordion solo ever. Great tune.

Nov 4, 2009 - In my top ten songs of all time. This song is so beautifully subversive ... it has this bouncy top layer of this being the day that everything gets better. But this promise keeps failing, and this eternal optimism eventually is exposed for the empty promise it is. And through all of it, Matt Johnson's voice -- both terrifying and soulful at once - guides us through with some vague reassurance that others have gone through it too.
