Nov 21, 2009 - A lot of belief systems/ideas can be good forms of guidance, and they should all be respected as such. I think what John is saying is that he doesn't believe in defining his reality by any of these beliefs/groups/people. The more religious or non-religious people realize that their belief system (though maybe a good path) does not define reality, nor do others need to follow it to be good people, the better the world will be. Definitely a great song.
