Nov 21, 2009 - dude, even PCmagazine greek edition used your tutorial!

Nov 21, 2009 - LOL, go back to the basics of electricity and then try to tell me you can't get killed by voltage. Ok, genus when I have a 12V car battery, with near infinite current, and it touch both posts with opposite hands, why do I not get killed from the current? Reason being...RESISTANCE!!! You need potential energy, aka Voltage, to start the flow of electrons. Thanks for coming out though.
itsmeohmeandme Says:
Nov 21, 2009 - "The current through the heart is what kills you. It only takes a few milliamps to disrupt the heartbeat. (About 15mA for men and 10mA for women, though this varies from person to person.)" Quoted from fucking Wikipedia you dumbfuck now go fuck yourself before you become a rude ass and don't read anything.

Nov 21, 2009 - Lol the god damn easy button
kriskizlyk Says:
Nov 21, 2009 - BAHAHAHAH, and everything on the internet is ALWAYS correct. Anyone dumbass can change wiki to say whatever. If you read what I said, it is a combination of Voltage and Current. I never said that current doesn't kill you, its a combination of voltage and current. Spaz.
itsmeohmeandme Says:
Nov 21, 2009 - That's funny because I've also learned in AP electronics that you need .6 amps of current to kill you no where do we ever learn voltage kills you. Of course voltage needs to be in the circuit you always have it but it doesn't injure you at all. You can take 50,000 volts without even being injured.

Nov 22, 2009 - @itsmeohmeandme wow AP electronics I learned that in 7th grade

Nov 22, 2009 - @kriskizlyk with near infinite current what drugs are you on?

toasterder Says:
Nov 22, 2009 - VI = P VIT = E There are two ways that electricity kills: 1) Fibrilation of the heart. 2) Heating --- Cooking. now for confused people like kriskizlyk, in batteries, there is a limiter on current allowed due to the rate of the battery chemical reactions. This is sometimes termed as internal resistance, though not exactly is. Car batteries have very high discharge rates due to the reactivity of its chemicals, this by no means mean that its current will flow if there is external resistance.

Nov 23, 2009 - This could be used neatly, and by that I mean if you're a typicall busyness guy like company person and with this you can place lights around your house to pm you when a phone rings, can also replace the lights with sounds if wanted... or with thiz possibility you can do much more with this xD

Nov 23, 2009 - cool story bro

Nov 24, 2009 - To ArxVirtus, heat is not a loss, energy in transformers is lost due to hysterisis ( how quickly the steel changes magnetic polarities essentially) and eddy currents. These in turn produce heat and therefore is not a loss
samljer Says:
Nov 24, 2009 - yeah, stepping it to 120v wouldnt do it but you could step it to like 50,000 then trade it off for the amps u need.

Nov 24, 2009 - This trick only works if you have a landline phone. It's a neat idea, but then you have no home phone. You'd also get the full voltage when someone calls your phone number.
rscarawa Says:
Nov 25, 2009 - Several issues. YOu are limited on voltage. YOu are limited on amps. THis is illegal to pull power from your phone line in this mannner. If you pull enough amps, you will be traced and caught. It is not hard for the phone company to realize that they are losing power somwhere on the line. Tracing it is easy for them too. Do not be a sucker and sign up for this.
