Nov 17, 2009 - Their is no definitive evidence of whether the nails were placed in the palms or the forearms as part of crucifixion. However I did see an experiment where they proved that the way the lower body was supported by the feet, because the feet were also nailed to the cross, that nails through the palm would support the wait. I remember seeing a documentary on the Discover channel about this.

PalleRasmussen Says:
Nov 17, 2009 - Roman historical accounts and experimental work have shown that the nails were driven between the small bones of the wrists. Nails driven through the palms will strip out between the fingers when they support the weight of a body. The misconception may be a misunderstanding of Jesus words to Thomas, "Observe my hands". Anatomists have always considered the wrists part of the hand. And no, the feet cannot help support the weight. Joints are not stiff, a body not a board.

Nov 17, 2009 - Cutting and pasting from the john mark ministries I see. Pierre Barbet a science fiction writer not an actual scientist was the one who stated nails had to go through the wrist because the human body could not support the weight he supposedly he proved this by putting a nail through a severed cadaver hand with a 88 lb weight suspended from it. However Frederick T. Zugibe, M. D., Ph. challenges and debunks many of his claims. Feel free to look him up.

Nov 18, 2009 - It's just an accent, but I dont know where from. First lines are: Some things in life are bad, they can really make you mad. Other things just make you swear and curse. When you're chewing on life's gristle, Don't grumble, give a wistle! And this'll help things turn out for the best... And...
