Nov 12, 2009 - yes, but where there are electrons, there is not necessarily atoms. what do you think electricity is? if thats not good enough, then ok, how about neutrinos or photons? on a quantum scale. atoms are actually quite large.

SeanCunnion1 Says:

Nov 12, 2009 - "how do you know there's an afterlife?" "i have the word of God." anyone see a cycle here...? HOW DO YOU KNOW THERE'S A GOD?? what, cuz it's in scriptures? i could write shit down in a book too, does that make it true??

greensthegreatest Says:

Nov 13, 2009 - That's not quite true. Human nature and nurture are intrinsically intertwined. We are born with certain biases as a result of our biology. These biases are passed down for generations selected for and impacted by our ecology and the ecology of our ancestors. Like Thunderf00t says, some things are part of human nature, such as body language. We may not be born racist, but we are born with the tendency toward xenophobia. Society and biology both contribute to the evolution of human behavior.

Dozzer Says:

Nov 14, 2009 - I like how the conversation has lead away from creation vs unknown, to these other topics. I thought mr f00t was a bit behind at first but he seems to be catching up.

bibhuna Says:

Nov 14, 2009 - Electrons can exist outside the atom.

0121ryanh117 Says:

Nov 15, 2009 - Electrons circle the atom.

Resurrected06 Says:

Nov 16, 2009 - "Mr. f00t" was NEVER behind, good sir. He is the one that has been presenting rational, intelligent points. Mr. Comfort has not been able to do so. None of Mr. Comfort's attempts at such have come anywhere close to being factual, rational or intelligent. It's quite sad that he (many times) had no recourse but to refer to a belief in the supernatural as his "proof" of creationism.

unocanhas Says:

Nov 16, 2009 - you've got big hands, thunderf00t, and you know what they say about guys with big hands :D

0okamino Says:

Nov 16, 2009 - They have to wear big gloves?

rtarbinar Says:

Nov 17, 2009 - near the end of the video: "i know you will go to hell, because i know god, and i've experienced his mercy and his love" HAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!!!

enfant00x Says:

Nov 17, 2009 - I feel really bad for the sort of person Ray Comfort comes across as at this point in the interview: A Creationist Cristian, sure. Wrong, of course. But still somebody who in a way genuinely CARES. I would love for there to be a study where the chemistry and structures of genuinely religious people's brains were thoroughly studied. They often display so many markers of psychiatric/cognitive impairment, that I can't help feeling concerned for them (or 'sorry' even; I doubt it's reversable).

Pull0utBoy Says:

Nov 18, 2009 - don't be fooled, Ray Comfort is a stupid asshole. He spits in the face of darwin and doesn't bother to do any sort of research. He writes a book and he parades himself as an expert then says he's not and acts all smug about it. what a joke...

hardr0ck Says:

Nov 18, 2009 - i personally don't think anyone "won" (no one ever does), but if I had to choose.... I'd go with Comfort. To nearly every question asked he gave an immediate, honest-to-his-beliefs answer. Thunderf00t, for almost every question, danced around the question with an occasional stutter, hoping to come up with some kind of answer that made sense. I haven't given my opinion. I'm just saying, based on the discussion, Comfort did better.

obdami Says:

Nov 18, 2009 - "The bible tells me so" What a dipshit argument.

Zygorhiza Says:

Nov 19, 2009 - yea, but they can be diverted when we apply energy, this is how metals conduct electricity.

PillsC2E Says:

Nov 19, 2009 - Agnostic Atheist here. I believe Comfort did a bit better at giving straight-forward answers, but Thunderf00t generally made more sense and made better points. If you have a difficult point to express you have to dance around it a little bit before you can fully explain it.

BlitzThrash Says:

Nov 19, 2009 - I think you should watch the video again, and this time don't listen to thunderfoot like comfort did ;)

UltimoLatino Says:

Nov 19, 2009 - Why didnt Thunderfoot use Mackie's problem of evil argument when Comfort brought up the story of the lil girl?! He would have torn Comfort apart!

john32190 Says:

Nov 19, 2009 - "I know God in the same way I know my wife. It's an intimate relationship." From the mouth of Ray Comfort. Apparently, he's sleeping with God.

iowacub1 Says:

Nov 19, 2009 - @0121ryanh117 It depends on what you mean by "circle". They certainly don't orbit the atom like the planets orbit the sun. That model of the atom (Bohr's I think) is a bit outdated.

lildread1 Says:

Nov 19, 2009 - i think there is a affair going on

depletable Says:

Nov 20, 2009 - We have same emotions as god has. Which include rage, self-loathing, suicidal thoughts, embarrassment, etc., etc. Yet he's omnibenevolent, and we're not even though we're made in his image. I know bullshit when I hear it. And goddamn, this is some bullshit.

f50tube Says:

Nov 20, 2009 - this isn't even a debate anymore, that idiot lacks so much knowledge that Thunderf00t has to teach him before the debate can even go on... Most of his retarted questions can be answered with minimal research.

bboykumo Says:

Nov 20, 2009 - To help the creationist, If god created us in his image, then it could be like us drawing comics or something. God could be a higher dimensional human like being. But using that as a reason for emotions is BS. We also have the range of emotions as monkeys. Mamals all have communication, take care of young and a sense of fairness because these are the qualities that succeed in a society and can thrive.

2002wj40 Says:

Nov 20, 2009 - Let me pose a question. How many technological innovations or breakthroughs have been authored by nonhuman intelligences? Only humans create. So it seems we have something in common with the creator. One might say we share the spark of creativity, or his image.
