Jul 1, 2009 - I understand The Constitution ensures our freedoms. I don't see where it keeps slavery and war legal. On the contrary, our constitution makes it illegal for us to have a standing army. And there are many provisions in there that deter us from war, like freinds to all allys to none and that sort of thing. I understand a republican form of government ensures liberty by giving the citizenry three votes not just one like in a democracy.
