Aug 4, 2009 - hmmm not so many one floor homes

drummo86 Says:

Aug 5, 2009 - Everytime i think of America i think of gun crime, no health care, racism, peoples burning desire for material possession and religion...infact i think these are the very things i hate in life....Canada it is then...

Quag7 Says:

Aug 5, 2009 - So you pretty much stereotype a country of 300 million people, in other words. From me, the terribly religious, materialistic American, to you, a much more enlightened sort, I say: May you live a long happy life in Canada.

Dochirin Says:

Aug 5, 2009 - Where is that tiny train around at 1:09 located ?

ColtBarrettUSA Says:

Aug 6, 2009 - Really? What a dreary outlook on life. Racism is more prevalent in Europe, where there tends to be a HUGE opposition of immigration due to a lack of assimilation, than in the United States. Our constitution strictly separates Church from State (1st Amm.), unlike in the UK, where the Church of England is an officially recognized body of gvt., where tithes must be paid. We love material possessions, but please, show me a people who hates all things material. That would be to hate the stuff of life

Aug 9, 2009 - This is going to be such a great series. Thanks for posting

Dundersur Says:

Aug 9, 2009 - " ..or if you're Stephen, It's bedtime" XD 33

4lfclover66 Says:

Aug 9, 2009 - actually, there are probably more one story homes than 2 story. Especially in the south and west.

allpeeps4me Says:

Aug 10, 2009 - Ive lived in Texas and Cali... 1 story homes are a thing of the 70's

4lfclover66 Says:

Aug 10, 2009 - yes, it's mainly the North and the mid-atlantic states where you find a lot of 2 story homes. We also don't have basements in the south. I know in Texas it's because of all the rock we're built over, but I don't know the reason for the rest of the south.

octaviaVIII Says:

Aug 10, 2009 - Great series, enjoyed every minute!!! Does anybody by any chance know the title of the music? It sounds like a very familiar campfire song I can't think of. Would appreciate it very much it if anybody could help.

jafoosy Says:

Aug 15, 2009 - This is such a great show, it has just started last week on ABC in Australia. The best show for Sunday night.

lossennedlorwen Says:

Sep 11, 2009 - WHAAAT XDD This made me giggle. Though i do like butterscotch....

chawk111 Says:

Sep 11, 2009 - Its because of the permafrost line. In northern climates, there is a depth below which the ground never thaws. The house's foundation has to be below it otherwise you run into problems. Something like that.

kablesxx Says:

Sep 15, 2009 - @allpeeps4me: I live in the suburbs in southern California, and there are LOADS of one story houses here.

AidanMclaren Says:

Sep 18, 2009 - This is just...oh......oh my God. You are so brainwashed.

paulwlynch Says:

Sep 22, 2009 - I hope he does another TV series soon as this was one of the most riveting series I've watch in years. I'm going to burn the DVD out. So come on Stephen do another tour.

DigitalClassics Says:

Sep 22, 2009 - He's currently presenting Last Chance To See on BBC2 Sundays. It's great.

paulwlynch Says:

Sep 22, 2009 - I didn't know he was back on telly. Thanks I'll check it out as I think he is one of the most entertaining men out there.

NaMgKCa Says:

Oct 3, 2009 - He is actually doing a thing on endangered and weird animals. Its on this Sunday at 8 I think.

caliguy92 Says:

Oct 30, 2009 - I agree with Quag7 and CaoltBarrettUSA over the fact that you know nothing about this country besides what your media tells you to believe about this country...and that you are the prime example of an idiot... Warm greetings from sunny California...

caliguy92 Says:

Oct 30, 2009 - one floor homes were a popular theme in the 50's, 60's, and 70's in result of the massive suburban explotion of those decades...by the 80's, most new homes bult during that time and from then on were two stories...three stories are becoming popular in newer and wealthier neighborhoods, at least in California where I'm from...

YNot1989 Says:

Nov 12, 2009 - You got to take a lot of america with a grain of salt.

irrelevancy58 Says:

Nov 16, 2009 - I used to be a Stephen Fry fan but this looks really boring actually

Andreazor Says:

Nov 20, 2009 - He rubs deer poo on himself then touches his face with the same hand. Wow. No wonder epidemics happen so fast.
