Nov 19, 2009 - this is a clean film eh? Can you still say that after seeing the priests boner? look it up its real. In the weeding scene between the prince and ursula, the priest gets a boner. its common knowledge.
TRISAND Says:
Nov 19, 2009 - DUH, I already knew that.........It is still a clean film. Kid friendly clean film. Unlike todays crap. Look at hollywoods movies today and watch the tv....BUNCH OF CRAP FROM CRAPSVILLE. This movie is a GOD-SENT.
TRISAND Says:

Marsh388 Says:
Nov 20, 2009 - Ursula could use some of Princess Leia's anti jiggle breast tape. I was watching this with my neices and I could totally understand King Triton's fury about Ariel being in "love" with some guy that she's only seen a couple times. She even goes to sell her soul for this guy...That is every father's nightmare. Also, a moment of silence for the poor Jellyfish who almost made it out at 5:11
grandsaga Says:
Nov 20, 2009 - pfft haha! at the jelly fish.
2vmt Says:
Nov 20, 2009 - Now, now! When you that little you don't think of stuff like that. In Fantasia there's a scene with naked girl/horses, but it never even bothered me until I hit puberty.
cookieclown2000 Says:
Nov 20, 2009 - I agree
TRISAND Says:
Nov 21, 2009 - Keep the comments clean and respectful, this is a family oriented movie. I get sooo tired of dirty language, you would think you could get on a video like this and be free from it.
andifadeaway11 Says:
Nov 21, 2009 - Hrmmmm, it's funny because this song seems to be a critique of how men treat women like objects, i.e. they just care about how they look, and not about their personality. But.... then as the story progresses, that seems to be exactly what happens (ariel loses her voice and the prince still falls in love with her), and it is portrayed positively. So.... mixed messages much???

Nov 21, 2009 - This is my all time favorite Disney movie, There's nothing like Disney movies from the 90s! The BEST!
ajkl27 Says:
Nov 21, 2009 - well, they try to sell it as him fallig for her bacause she's sweet and inocent and all that but, yeah, that is pretty much what happens. In fact that's what happens in most disney "romances", the guy sees the girl, is "struck by her beauty" and then "falls in love" with her without even bothering to get to know her. If I have daughters they're not watching disney movies until they're old enough to see what crap that is.
CherishValerie Says:
Nov 21, 2009 - Oh come on. thats just pathetic. this is a CHILD movie! I don't know why you people are even having these kind of discussions. it shows what frustrated adults YOU are. you really think, that when a little girl watches this movie, she will think, BUT HE DOESNT EVEN REALLY KNOW HER! this is a fairytale! It shouldnt be realistic. we all dreamed about princes and princesses when we were young. If you don't like disney, when why are you even watching this video? GO AWAY... let chldren be children...
crimsonmaster803x Says:
Nov 21, 2009 - this song is a classic example of a deal with the devil scenario
Misheru100 Says:
Nov 21, 2009 - In the original story (I know there might be many versions of it, but this is just the one I read), mermaids live for three hundred years, then turn into sea foam. Ariel wants to gain an immortal soul, so she makes the deal with Ursela. Ursula then goes to the prince and steals him from Areil. When Ariel's time runs out, she dies and her body joins the sea, but she does gain a soul. She joins a group of angels who have to wait to get into heaven. This isn't a mean comment, just a discussion.
kooliokateo88 Says:
Nov 21, 2009 - one of the best disney movies ever! this is classic! i hate someof the new stuff disney has come up with lately...
ajkl27 Says:
Nov 22, 2009 - It doesn't matter how it's intended. It is a scientific fact that children learn life long behaviors, attitudes, and roles from examples that they see early on. Of coarse little girls aren't going to think that; thy're just going ot learn that being pretty is very important because that's what will make a rich handsom man "fall in love" with them. If other people having thoughs bothers you so much then you should "GO AWAY."
ajkl27 Says:
Nov 22, 2009 - o.k. I knew that. But that's not what happened in the movie; the movie was a far simpler, shallower story.
Misheru100 Says:
Nov 22, 2009 - Oh, I'm sorry, I should have made it clear what I was trying to say. I was just saying that when she tries to get by on her looks, it didn't go the way she planned. Again, I'm sorry for my mistake.
partygirl209 Says:
Nov 22, 2009 - they don't make movies like this any more!! these days it's all High School Musical, Miley Cyrus and Pixar!!
