Nov 8, 2009 - It's not creepy - it's an amazing experience. The human brain is remarkable - it's where you are living. The more I learn about the brain the more amazed I am.

Nov 9, 2009 - @isk83l3m3nt no, this lady is smart and far beyond your intelligence level.

Bronnster Says:

Nov 9, 2009 - I've had a similar experience and not drug induced nor a hemorrhage. I was in complete despair without hope and emotionally powerless. I called out to God and asked "if you are real, if you are really real, than forgive me. I am so sorry for everything." I then repeated "I'm sorry, so sorry...forgive me". The euphoric feeling came from my heart and expanded. It felt light and warm and powerful. I felt peace. I knew that there was hope. I was unafraid. No worries or cares.

Bronnster Says:

Nov 9, 2009 - When I stepped outside the sky was very blue and the tree in front of me was so green and everything was so clear. I noticed the spaces of sky in between the leaves and branches being so blue. I felt apart of the sky and the tree. I don't know why or how that experience happened. All I knew was that I was about to die, give up my life, no longer wanting to live. Then finding myself face down on the ground crying for forgiveness with complete and utter surrender to what I believed to be God.

Nov 9, 2009 - here i am with my mama

Bronnster Says:

Nov 9, 2009 - A God that I didn't know but only wanted and needed to know. I don't know who or what God is but God saved me that day when I surrendered...completely. Maybe something in my brain shut off or slowed down or maybe some chemicals in my brain released or stopped flowing...I don't know. As of today, I am still looking for that feeling through prayer. Maybe one day I'll have it occur again. It was absolute bliss and freedom from everything.

ImmortalUniverse Says:

Nov 9, 2009 - you felt how everything was connected with energy and electricity, thoughts and matter both consist out of electricity. i think a human soul is just a part of this sea of information

artsylovelylady Says:

Nov 11, 2009 - To me, that is what meditation is all about. It reminds me of the monks high up in the Himalayas. It also reminds me of Mother Theresa when a reporter asked what she said when she prayed. She said, "I don't speak, I listen." Then the reporter asked her what God said to her and she said, "He doesn't speak. He listens." So her existence in those moments wasn't about language or dialogue. It was about openness and experience.

Nov 12, 2009 - This is one of the best Ted Talks I've ever seen. I'm going to read her book to learn more from her insight.

JRV95 Says:

Nov 12, 2009 - Wow, to me this video was very inspirational. It has given me a brighter view towards the absolute complexity of a stroke and her description was unlike any speech I have ever seen before. Like many viewers have said, the more I learn about the vast capabilities of the brain, the more I want to become a part in researching this. Thank you Jill.

Nov 15, 2009 - I had a stroke at age 20. Though mine wasn't as severe as hers, the experience was pretty trippy :) ...The hospital bills and doctor visits do make it quite an expensive trip though...

GazMysticism Says:

Nov 16, 2009 - well not nutty i take that bak,excited 2share her story

leahanna412003 Says:

Nov 16, 2009 - I have heard her story from someone else, I'm glad I found the vid with her speaking. What she is trying to tell people, if you've read her book, is that what we call 'the matrix' is a reality. The left side of the brain the logic of what we see, etc. in our daily lives. The right half is the 'creative center' which displays our internal energy as it really is, which IS pixels. Our vision is internal, but is controlled by the left brain. The right brain tells the truth of 'what we really are.'

c23am Says:

Nov 18, 2009 - The most amazing thing about what she experienced is that you can have the exact same, no actually, a much more profound experience of this nature through the use of psychedelic drugs like psilocybin, DMT, and LSD. None of these drugs have any negative biological effects and the experience ends within either hours, or with DMT, 10 minutes! What she mentioned she wanted everyone to experience, and if she knew that psychedelics allowed this then she would be dramatically for entheogenic use.

c23am Says:

Nov 18, 2009 - Psychedelics are the keys given to us by nature that allow us to safely transcend this matrix-like reality system temporarily and experience re-emerging with the metabiological oneness we came from, the consciousness that we are all part of. Consciousness is like an infinite ocean, and our singular minds/egos are simply ideas (wave functions) within the mind, so that the one consciousness can experience duality given DNA as the reality simulation code that sets the the rules of the experience.

Avalajawa Says:

Nov 18, 2009 - Look i love shrooms just as much as the next guy, but all psychedelics do is create the illusion of oneness with the universe. It is a costume that your brain puts on in order to ignore the conscious thought that our world revolves around. What Jill is talking about is the total and complete removal of the filters that our culture instills in us over time as we grow.

c23am Says:

Nov 18, 2009 - NO, you are WRONG, it is THIS WORLD that is the ILLUSION! This is a SELF-EVIDENT truth. I wrote a philosophy thesis on this made it impossible to refute what I have said. The materialistic and physicalist philosophy u r working with when u say that is a complete and utter failure, and quantum physics totally backs up what I said 100%. It is our faith in completely obsolete ideas, such as this world being real and not a holographic projection that make us ignorant and fixated on illusion.

c23am Says:

Nov 18, 2009 - "All truth passes through three phases. First it is ridiculed, second it is violently opposed, and third it is accepted as self-evident." - Arthur Schopenhauer~~~~~[All the brain is is a filtering mechanism that filters out holistic consciousness to give the illusion of duality]: "Mind, rather than emerging as an out-growth in the evolution of life, has existed always...the source and condition of physical reality." - George Wald
