May 9, 2009 - At 3:57, it's frightening that a supposedly "ordained" minister would dare say something like that not feel a chill up his spine.

May 30, 2009 - There's quite a few "preachers" I know who can take a lesson from Spurgeon.
GracetoThee Says:
Jun 2, 2009 - Oh, and don't miss Paul Washer, one of the mightiest preachers in our time. God used him to bring a new chapter of growth and awesome vision of Christ in my life.

Jun 6, 2009 - How sad. Spurgeon was right. What ever happened to the church's hunger for the truth???
Ttssuf Says:
Jun 10, 2009 - Paul Washer, Mike Hoggard are couple of powerful preachers that I know off in our times.

Jun 20, 2009 - the church is just as hungry, the problem is that there isn't much church in the building itself
KJVBiblebeliever Says:
Jul 4, 2009 - As highly touted as Spurgeon was - he incorrectly said to the effect that he thought that there would be more people in heaven than in hell....................he should have read the Scriptures more closely... IF he had read what Yeshua said in in Matthew 7:13,14 he wouldve known that majority wont be in heaven and that "few" would be saved.
mits4christ Says:
Jul 8, 2009 - I like Spurgeon. I suppose what I have learnt is that no MAN is perfect and Spurgeon wasn't but he stood for the Gospel and I respect him for that; in fact there is alot to learn from this mans' work.

Aug 11, 2009 - Spurgeon's "Morning and Evening" is a must-read for any Christian. It is incredible.

Aug 20, 2009 - I have learned more from reading Spurgeon, Ostwalt Chambers, AB Simpson, and Matthew Henry's commentary then from any "teacher or pastor" alive to day. If you hunger and thirst for God's Truth, start with His WORD and add these peoples books.
youratm Says:
Aug 22, 2009 - If that is all you can find to point out about Spurgeon, I feel sorry for you. I am sure all of God's chosen will be there. If God and the Devil are keeping score I am sure God will win.
rdm0001 Says:
Sep 5, 2009 - I agree the old pastors who strived to preach the truth were very powerful. John Owen, Jonathan Edwards, and Richard Baxter are guys to read also.
lucasdasilvamaria Says:
Sep 10, 2009 - What i find weird is that people comment on my blog about "Spurgeon and Paul Washer being great men of God, of the same calibre as Benny Hinn and Morris Cerullo"! I mean, was he making fun of me or has he just zero discernment?
puritan Says:
Sep 12, 2009 - Spurgeon was the greatest. The list of great preachers are long and mighty. Today, there are many that I would consider good to great preachers, but to link any other preacher with Spurgeon is like linking a match to a California Forest Fire for heat.

Sep 17, 2009 - The judgement of hell awaits those false religious people who fulfill the following scripture . Matthew 23:29-37 (King James Version) Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because ye build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the sepulchres of the righteous furthermore.. That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar.

Sep 25, 2009 - it;s the pot calling the kettle black. Who keeps Mrt.Macarthur accountable for his teaching?
Uvissiet Says:
Sep 26, 2009 - I would have loved to have heard Charles Spurgeon in person. He preached to over 20,000 people without a P.A. system. He may have been the last of the great Philadelphia Church Age.
shibakim Says:
Sep 27, 2009 - God is not the God of dead but of the living. (Mt.22:32) Grave yard of any believer's should be leastest interest for true believers. And WHY any called 'great man of God' by ppl die in their sicknesses? Because they do not dicern the Lord's body. (1 Cor.11:27-32)
