Unless, you are defending all french music videos, which is pointless on your behalf. Theres no way that you can say that the average french music video has any where the level of production as a typical US one. Thats like arguing Russian TV is as visually entertaining as the US. This isnt french bashing, just a simple fact of life. Plus, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind sucked.

The typical level of american music video is very weak. Maybe it's even weaker anywhere else as you say. What counts are the few good ones. ANd they are the work of people like Spike Jonze or Gondry.

Apr 15, 2009 - Ok, I think you are misunderstanding my statement. First of all, I was defending the video. The french crack was about the production level, not how good the video was. I like spike jonez, but his video are almost always done on low budgets with little post production. I also agree that even if there is a high level of production, it doesnt always make a video fun to watch or creative. Im only commenting on the production value, which on the website on the "making of" video, was addressed.

Jun 7, 2009 - It's funny how people feel the need to criticise - lets see your work guys! You need to remember, this was done by one guy, not a design agency. With very limited resources and a very small budget (not even funded by the record label). There's no money for pop promos for musicians like JJP. Sure, I could have done something leagues above the quality of this, talent and skill is not a problem but we all have to eat so there were compromises... take it at face value, if you like it - great!
