Jul 3, 2009 - Have you ever read their ACTUAL correspondence during this time ? It really WAS that romantic and sweet ! Watch the HBO mini-series "John Adams" It is GLORIOUS !!!! Thomas Jefferson gets all the Glory, but the United States of America would not be here today without John Adams.

BwayBound16 Says:

Jul 4, 2009 - i have seen it! its wonderful- i have all the respect in the world for john adams!

AbbyMireene Says:

Jul 9, 2009 - So true. It's just like Adams himself later predicts in the movie: he won't be in the history books compared to Ben Franklin. And unfortunately he was right. In my History classes, he always gets a brief mention as the second president, but it was this movie that really made me appreciate his role in the founding of this country.

joe59788 Says:

Aug 2, 2009 - A lot of their writings are verbatim both in the musical (somewhat) and All most all in the HBO mini series

Sep 27, 2009 - Somehow, I had the feeling that they used some of those letters to write the lyrics to the duets between John and Abigail.

cscentrlTV Says:

Oct 2, 2009 - Like they say, behind every great man is a great woman. And let's not forget, the founding of America was a group effort. I doubt John Adams could have done alone though he definitely was the "willpower" of the movement for independency.
