Jun 30, 2009 - To be fair, Europeans have to be more concerned with fuel economy because they pay 3-5 times the price for petrol. It can also be said that their emission standards cut power because they are much quieter i.e. restricted than US cars.

tripleheshy Says:

Jun 30, 2009 - Then your post should be a source of great embarrasment because a simplistic, antiquated engine (Corvette) built by rednecks just won the GT1 class at LeMans recently against a host of engines that are far superior in concept and design. What say you?

kemcho12345 Says:

Jul 1, 2009 - most people would take a reliable car over powerfull or faster car any day. I am sure normal people would not like to keep taking their cars to service. GM does need to learn a thing or two from foreign car companies (not from Hundai or Kia though)

stealthcorvette Says:

Jul 4, 2009 - oh...... by proper you mean the less powerful ones

Biffle4President Says:

Jul 5, 2009 - the greatest thing about the ls-series engine is the aftermarket...not just the aftermarket, but the huge following that comes along with the long lived small block chevy. the sbc is probably the most popular engine in performance and motorsports ever. i have an e36 m3 with a 3.2L I6 that weighs 100lbs more than a 7.0L LS7 V8. they are light, powerful, affordable, strong, and more race proven than anything ever made. you're very limited as far as upgrades and aftermarkets go with bmw and

Jul 7, 2009 - So true. If you want a proper engine go buy a AMG Mercedes. Every engine is hand built by the same mechanic. "One engine, one man"... something like that.

jonvvp Says:

Jul 18, 2009 - Humm.. pushrod engine are far more reliable than any japanese engines. The LS engines have set countless endurance records.

Aug 7, 2009 - Every GM Warranty is a FRAUD. There is no GM Warranty! The alleged GM Warranty is really a Sitel Corporation Warranty administered by the Sitel Corporation. They have Sitel Employees using GM Letterhead paper and POSING as GM employees to defraud GM Customers. GM Governance belong in prison. This site won't let me post a web address but do a search under CleanUpFlorida

RifledBarrel Says:

Oct 28, 2009 - that engine sucks...it's not even OHC

projecttsi Says:

Oct 30, 2009 - Great video!! Its an LS3 by the way (rectangle port heads). Doesn't have to be a OHC to be a good motor!! They stick with old tech. because it work... and works very well! Gm makes the highest quality motors out there.

Nov 15, 2009 - Going to Put this Beauty in my 350Z. Don't like the idea of F/I in my 350z. also, LS2 is very light motor. LSX are well respected by Non-american car owners as well as American car owners!!

jeffzahnd Says:

Nov 16, 2009 - I agree. I think that the best thing for GM to do is try to strike up deals with other companies to where they provide the engine/transmission. Rx8 ls3/370z ls3/mustang gt ls3...I would say that it would really provide some awesome opportunity for both parties.

jeffzahnd Says:

Nov 16, 2009 - the Ls v8s that Chevy put out are the best engines you can buy if you are looking for something that is going to be a daily driven, but still a lot of torque. v10 vipers, v12 Ferrari's are awesome...but you take a hit in weight, and a HUGE hit in MPG. which the Ls1 excels in. The v10 is for show. The dodge viper would be better off with a worked v8 hemi.
