Oct 16, 2009 - Ok I'm gonna be the critic here..thought the song dragged on that tempo..lost some of it's fire..in fact nobody there was lookin' to inspired....but I'll always love the allmans, esp like betts on a "let it all hang out" night and man this performance just seemed boring. They've done much much better .Totally agree they have created beautiful harmonies and great long dizzying jams

Nov 21, 2009 - Does anyone know if the Grateful Dead or the Allman Brothers Band were the first band to have two drummers playing at the same time? Thanks! Love this song--Dickie Betts is a genius on that guitar.
alienhuman Says:
Nov 23, 2009 - can't say who was first, but it is a definate Southern Rock thing. Not saying GD copied, just that it is all over SR.
mrsgstd Says:
Nov 26, 2009 - The Doobies had two drummers for a long time and Foreigner did the first time I saw them. Neither of those bands is southern so there are some others who have done it. Neither the Doobies or Foreigner were around before the Allmans.
