Dec 17, 2007 - One of two thing I wish I had been around to see, steam in hay day (Born in 64, by the time I was aware of trains it was all gone) and the other being the Dreadnoughts of WW1. Funny when I think of it they are so alike in many ways, But at least Steam Trains live on despite BR.

Dec 17, 2007 - That little lad on the film was also born in 1964! I wish I'd had a video camera in those days - a four minute film cost 27 shillings (£1.35) and I was on about fourteen pounds a week with a house and family to support! Still, now there is so much to enjoy - wish I could go back for a week!

Dec 22, 2007 - Is that how much cine film cost? I always wondered. I was just starting secondary school and had 1s6d pocket money (I think) per week, so even a still camera was way beyond my finances. Thanks to all the enthusiasts who had the foresight to film BR steam while it existed.

Oct 13, 2008 - Inspired choice of music for this video. Not normally a fan of music being dubbed over film but if it has to be then let be of this calibre

Nov 25, 2008 - My grandfather worked at Leeman Road stores way back then, and I used to often visit the stores and the yards there, we had a privilaged front seat at the attempted demolition of the coaling tower that Sunday morning, there was more than a few smiles as it defiantly remained stood up even though minus its legs........
