Nov 7, 2009 - Sony makes awesome consoles and at the time the PSone controller was awesome....but it is a bit out dated for sony to STILL be useing that same design.

Nov 13, 2009 - @rasuk A couple of years later. I have my old PS1 controller and PSone (Mini PlaySation, has rounded edges and is smaller), but anyway, mainly, I remember the analog sticks controller better.

Nov 20, 2009 - good game if you like action plattforming. Castlevania: Symphony of the Night to Playstation one. Awesome game. For roleplaying games FF7 even tough i wasn´t a big fan of that game don´t know why... Anyway that´s just my opinion.

Nov 20, 2009 - This guy is a bit odd. He does loads of game videos yet seems to lack very basic knowledge. Simply put, he only played a SNES recently, and he is apparently oblivious to this controller being the same as the SNES with two extra buttons on top of the added wings. The analogue thumbsticks also damaged the ergonomics of the controller. The original PSX analogue controller had longer handles but there was a backlash against that so they kept the same handle length with extra features on thedualshock

Nov 23, 2009 - Because of the great games why else! Ya just can't beat FF 7 Legend of Dragoon, Siphon Filter, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, Gran Turismo 1 2, Metal Gear Solid, and so on!
Nintendomanwill Says:
Nov 25, 2009 - Can someone explain what's wrong with my comment? I can normally see if I say something controversial but as I see everything I say is factual. He only first played a SNES recently. The PS1 controller IS the same as the SNES, except the 2 extra shoulder buttons on/ the grips. And the analogue thumbsticks on the dualshock DID damage ergonomics, making the handles too short, which is why Sony initially made the handles LONGER but backtracked because the Japanese preferred smaller grips.
tmorri603 Says:
Nov 25, 2009 - The PS1 controller is a copy of he SNES controller. If you know the history of the PS, you know that the PS1 was going to be the SNES's CD add on but Nintendo backed out of the deal. Sony went on their own and made the PS1.
Nintendomanwill Says:
Nov 25, 2009 - I know. As you can see I know about the PS controller. Did you know that Sony initially approached SEGA but SoJ would have none of it? And have u seen the prototype PS controllers? They look foamy! The whole grip thing, was to accommodate the extra triggers which were to make games work for an extra dimension (NIntendo made SNES shoulder buttons thinking they'd be for scrolling and zooming in 2.5d games, hence Sony's extra shoulder-button logic for 3d) But triggers were used as normal buttons.
Nintendomanwill Says:
Nov 25, 2009 - The SONY fanboys got me too! Look, my initial comment here has two thumbs down! WHY!!!? I illuminate SONY fanboys about the Dual Analogue controller, a rare thing that came before the dualshock and had longer grips, making it better than the dualshock that has the original grips even though the stick holders cut into them. Which reduces the length of holdable grip. Which is stupid. Which is why the old Dual Analogue PS controller is better than the current DualShocks! But they thumb me down...!
