Listen to sugarhill gang, etc. Besides, most rappers do nothing except talk about how much money they have and how many "bitches" they fuck, so what does that have to do with "their struggle" ? Hiphop is not about soul, most hiphop people don't talk about their 'struggles', they talk about their toughness, their money, their sexual conquests, etc. There's no such thing as 'true hiphop'. it's a relative term.
