Nov 10, 2009 - Mali gave me goosebumps. This is moving, delightfully poetic, and straightforward. As a fellow teacher, I identify with his frustrations. It's not about the money. All people who find the teaching profession to be mediocre should view this... and get served!

Nov 12, 2009 - I'm a school librarian and feel bad all about myself all the time because so many people I went to high school with became lawyers, doctors, engineers. I feel a little better watching this. And I wish all the idiots who went to get their Master's in education because they couldn't think of anything else to do with their and who don't really care about their students would watch this.

Nov 12, 2009 - Many teachers are great, I wouldn't say all teachers are great. Some of them are mediocre, some are downright awful. I loved many of my high school teachers, especially the one that I credit with saving my life. They are underpaid but I don't know what could be done about that. Most people say that teachers are underpaid but ask them if they'd be willing to pay higher taxes and they get quiet real quick. Anything you cut to make more money will inevitably piss off a lot of people.

Nov 12, 2009 - Unfortunately not all teachers are this passionate. Some of the teachers I've had in the past up until this point could care less about what the student learns and making a difference - as long as they get the material out and get paid. =_=;

Nov 14, 2009 - First off, this guy rocks. Now, to you, the thing is that it's not a matter of paying more taxes. It's a matter of the government spending the money properly and thinking before they spend. Our government spends money where it doesn't need to and/or doesn't have the right to (yes, the right) and then asks for more of our money so that we can have certain public assets, thus draining the populous of what they need to survive in a modern world. We need to re-educate the government.

Nov 24, 2009 - Some teachers really want to make a difference. And some, I swear, are just bored and miserable and didn't get the major of their choice, or something. Or they lost the passion of their job.
