Q : Let's change the subject. I wanna hear about the Air Force. You joining the Air Force was a big news. A lot of the fans were disappointed because they thought you had some more time before you had to serve your military duty. Why did you go so quickly? Lim : I've been talking to Air Force officials about forming the Air Force Ace. But I was getting old, and I would've been over the Air Force's age limit. So I had to go if I wanted to play in the Air Force Ace. Q : So you had to go quickly because of the age limit? You always said your dream was to be a pro-gamer in your 30's. I guess Air Force Ace played a crucial role in making that dream come true. I guess Air Force Ace really helped you in a way? Lim : There was a time when the military was the graveyard for gamers. But a lot of gamers including myself are not benefitting from Air Force Ace. I hope Air Force Ace does well in the season, so that more gamers can make their dream come true. - Aire Force Ace is giving new opportunity to pro-gamers. Q : You said your dream of being a pro-gamer in your 30's has come true. How is it different from when you were in your 20's? Lim : It makes me proud of myself. All the records I set in my 30's are being replaced by younger gamers, and they don't say as the best record for long. But if I set a record in my 30's, it won't be replaced that easily. There will be more pro-gamers in their 30's, but I don't think there will be that many. It makes me more proud of myself. Q : Who would you pick as a pro-gamer that has a good chance of playing in his 30's? Lim : Most players are really good at managing themselves. These guys stay in the league for a long time. And all they care about is playing games. If they continue to manage themselves well, we'll have some good players in their 30's soon. I can't really point out who. Anyone can be a pro-gamer in their 30's. And if that happens, we'll see a lot of older gamers active in the league like other sports. - Lim Yo-Hwan achieved his dream of being a pro-gamer in his 30's. - Lim Yo-Hwan is changing. Q : I would say you're the one person that made the greatest contribution to e-sports in Korea. And I wanna hear what you think about the future of e-sports in Korea. What are you thoughts about the future of e-sports? Lim : I think I should talk about what I hope to see happen. First, I hope e-sports becames approved as an official sport. Then we'd be able to broadcast matches on terrestrial wave instead of cable or satellite TV. It's crucial to progress like this. This is my hope and dream. I really hope e-sports becames an official Olympic sport. If e-sports becames more popular and it recognized as a real sport by nations around the world, it can became an offical Olympic sport. That's what I really hope for. Q : Lastly, could you please send a message for the e-sports fans that support you? Lim : You have been waiting for me for a long time while I was in the Air Force. I'm really thankful, and I'll do my best to perform better than you expect. Please give me your support. Thank you. Q : Over the last 2 week, we met Lim Yo-Hwan, the icon of Korean e-sports.
