Oct 26, 2009 - no you perfer taking the easy way out when you found you couldnt take your skills past the ppl level you called it quits

EF2000CanFly Says:

Oct 26, 2009 - Well.... that might have been a small part of the reason. I just did not want to commit my life and career earnings toward it. And it is a bit dangerous. Especially flying the little charter planes when your trying to get hours. I must say I like the idea of flying and it was hard to make a decision to get out of it! But I could see it, like anything else, just become another job.... long hours, shift work, fatigue, being told what to do by bosses. I am my own boss in business!

EF2000CanFly Says:

Oct 26, 2009 - So God has blessed me in Business. I know he can bless you. I knew a senior Air Canada Capt who was a Believer and other that few near misses and situations with bad weather, he had a good career. And he was wealthy. I think he earned over 200K plus benefits. He died rather young and went to heaven. But the US paying these kind of wages is capitalizing on men and womens vanity I think. It is am important job and you should get paid well too even if there is lots who want to fly

EF2000CanFly Says:

Oct 28, 2009 - Say that when the IRS or revenue Canada come after you and want their money! Prosperity is better than the vanity of flying in my books

EF2000CanFly Says:

Oct 28, 2009 - Moreover you kids should never fly be cause "you love the idea of it" You should do it because you are good at it and have exellent stick and rudder skills. Not because you from a rich family and you mommy or daddy will pay for it. Be a man work with your hands and earn you own living and stop leaching of your parents kids!

Mav1843 Says:

Oct 30, 2009 - Where the hell are you getting those salaries from? No regional airline company pays that much. That's pay in the majors!

chode1984 Says:

Oct 30, 2009 - Not with Qantaslink in Australia! Those are the salaries. A captain on the Q400 makes over $100,000.

oggybag Says:

Nov 4, 2009 - So True!!! I'm 16 and i wana fly because I love it =P. My flying instructor says Im a natural. I go to a private school, and oh so many rich kidsare having their parents pay for ppls and have agreed to pay for cpls and atpls. not fair on the others who go for the job because htey love it and because they are good at it =[.

X6insane6X Says:

Nov 5, 2009 - I've said it a million times before and I'll say it a million times more... if you're thinking of getting into aviation for the money.... DON'T. The glory days of aviation are looooong over. You gotta love what you're doing and be good at it too if you're gonna stick around in this industry. Most pilots (including myself) will tell you they wouldn't have it any other way... and trust me, it's got nothing to do with the pay, lol.

X6insane6X Says:

Nov 5, 2009 - Which reminds me... How do you make a million dollars in aviation? ...start with 10 million. lol

bobistheman02 Says:

Nov 6, 2009 - just wondering where did you find those random salay rates i know reginoal pilots qualify for food stamps but whats up 19,152 dollars a bit strange how bout 20,000

amartinjoe Says:

Nov 9, 2009 - nice vid! I didn't know they made that kind of money.

lama24alwayz Says:

Nov 9, 2009 - Honestly, Horizon would be sick. Pacific Northwest is very nice in the summer, and for a starter, that's not that bad...

bjlopez1130 Says:

Nov 11, 2009 - That is a shame what these pilots make. At least the airlines can pay a halfway decent salary. If these pilots make so little money I wonder how much the flight attendants make for these Regional Carriers.

ejuoi Says:

Nov 11, 2009 - It's first year only. 2nd year and on you make ok money. Once you become captain it's 60-120K.

ejuoi Says:

Nov 11, 2009 - You are in the minority. Most pilots also get into this for the quality of life and that means pay. It's the only way that we will take this profession back. Your attitude of doing this as a hobby because the lack of pay doesn't help.

X6insane6X Says:

Nov 12, 2009 - Well the quality of life allures me, yes.. but I'm saying that there's plenty of ignorant fools running around out there thinking they'll be making $80,000 right off the bat in this industry. And that's what bugs me.

11040 Says:

Nov 14, 2009 - Try and get an attorney to work for twenty bucks an hour. Hey lets just run this like the restaurant business. Pay the pilots minimum wage and let them work for tips. If they drive you into a neighborhood in a ball of flames, you can complain to the owner about poor service. It use to be only the foreign airlines sold Chances. They now are offered on domestic flights also.

Xberto83 Says:

Nov 14, 2009 - you probably never had financial trouble in your whole life! I had to work hard to pay myself an atpl course. And I wanna be paid for the work I will do in an Airline!! Because the AIRLINE IS MAKING MONEY THROUGH ME!!! Just because of dumbnuts like you that the companys are asking more and more for selffunding a typerating! It's quite a hard think to take after a whole atpl course.

ihaveabigtv Says:

Nov 15, 2009 - i agree.... its nothing much about the pay...also the respect level to a pilot is extreamly high compared to other money making jobs...:D

X6insane6X Says:

Nov 15, 2009 - oh absolutely.. i mean look at the responsibilities we're charged with..

RikterZilla Says:

Nov 16, 2009 - I make that much in a month. When i'm working! 2 days billed out this year. Sucks but be happy you HAVE a job.

Apollo580 Says:

Nov 19, 2009 - It isn't bad at all.

eclipse245 Says:

Nov 19, 2009 - This video has been mega proven wrong.

caleb20091 Says:

Nov 23, 2009 - Yea true im a pilot still finishingmy training and hrs. It is first year pay but do you realize how long it takes to make Captian or even go to a major airline you have to already have type raiting southwest wont even pay for your training in the 737 prob make less then 50k your first 5 years
