Sep 10, 2009 - Jesus did not come to stop sin. He died so that YOU and I maybe forgiven of sin. Jesus came for YOU.

ShortGrumpyKayaker Says:

Sep 10, 2009 - What? An idignant god that I want nothing to do with will impose himself upon me and send me to hell? Do you realise that trying to frighten me with what happens when I die is to no effect? If god is so accepting surely he will accept my choice to not follow him? I was dead for billions of years before I was concieved and I didnt have a major problem with that. What difference when I die? Why is it that all theists have, or at least seem to convey, an unhealthy paranoia about death?

Sep 10, 2009 - I'm gonna have to check this out. This seems very interesting.

Sep 10, 2009 - However, I think James Earl Jones should have been contracted to be the voice of God. :)

Sep 11, 2009 - I was thinking the same thing.

nuffzed202 Says:

Sep 11, 2009 - dude it was to clense the world of their sin, not stop it. that part was left to man.

omogaju Says:

Sep 12, 2009 - I am not trying to frighten you. Say i was, I am smart enough to know it would not work and even if it did I know it will not last. Lets try nto play it in a different scenario; I say it is raining outside lets get an umbrella, and you say it isn't lets go without an umbrella. I respond by saying; if u go out without ur umbrella and it isn't raining u are good whereas if i went out and it isn't raining i would have carried my umbrella for nothing... That isn't fear. Just saying be ready

omogaju Says:

Sep 12, 2009 - Ps. what did you do in your previous life billions of year ago? you hunted dinos or the dinos hunted you?

ShortGrumpyKayaker Says:

Sep 12, 2009 - Previous life??? The point I was making is that before I was born I cant remember it so how does it matter? As far as I am concerned I might as well have been dead. Secondly your anallogy is better than most I ve heard, but is it not just using belief and religion as a safety net becasue you have that niggling feeling that there might be something there? Kinda like watching a match and changing teams depending on whose winning.

omogaju Says:

Sep 13, 2009 - what you call relegion, is actually a way of life for me. It is more than dos and don'ts, or observing certain dates. Hence, it can't compare to a safety net. My comments all along is not intended for changing teams depending on who is winning; clearly I have made my choice in accepting Jesus as my lord and you have chose not to accept him as yours. If I were to die and I am wrong then I would have lost nothing, cos this way of life gives me peace and security here on earth. It is who I am.

omogaju Says:

Sep 13, 2009 - You really have to be sure that your stand is the right one. I am convinced that mine is. Neither of us can claim ignorance that we never heard that christ died for our sins (it is really a good deal i.e we don't have to die for them- i am not talking of physical death). However, if you are as convinced as I am then nothing needs to be said further. I rest my case. I could try to wish you Godspeed...if you would accept that.
