Nov 4, 2009 - So Minnie drops the minstrel song 'Turkey in the Straw' when she gets on boat the goat plays it near 4:00. The song is from Zip Coon, an early black face to say blacks were inferior, needed whites to care for them justify slavery. They knew that when they made this film but did it anyway. The racist slur 'Coon' comes from that song, as it then used in bad way. Much of these cartoons have overt racism in them. At least know you watch the same thing slave owners enjoyed laughed at.
