Nov 9, 2009 - I also just watched a commercial about Drakes Fortunes, showing a guy's girlfriend thinking it was a movie and not finding out it was a videogame even after 2 days of playing it. Suprise suprise, she looked like a supermodel. I appreciate you mentioning how obvious it is that these type of women are obviously not gamers. I have also found that I can not talk with men about videogames. They sort of have this "I'm sorry, I don't speak girl" kind of attitude, which is just embarassing.

Nov 9, 2009 - Women are weak and i love them that way, don't make me beat you like an abusive parent.I don't hate women,i love women, but only the submissive women that know their role and shut their mouth.

Nov 10, 2009 - the unfortunate thing that happens is that with things becoming more ummmm universal it does shun old gamers used to the blood action and gore that most of us have grown up on so the change also will have to come from men becuz we will have to adjust our tastes

blitzertidus Says:

Nov 11, 2009 - Just curious - your ending credits video reminds me a lot of music from Commander Keen. I'm not sure if that's the exact source, but yeah. Great vid, interesting commentary. There are definitely boundaries in the gaming community that need to come down, but I think a factor you didn't touch on is even bigger than the ones that you did touch on is the fact that many...male gamers, tend to immediately flock to any girl gamer they find online, and this can be overwhelming. Out of room 4 moar!

MishLDirnt Says:

Nov 11, 2009 - I'm a girl gamer. When I was young my parents bought me Pokemon and Mario on gameboy colour. On N64 we had Donkey Kong, Mario, etc. Not very violent games. I'm starting to get into shooting games. I started with adventure, like LoZ, Assassin's Creed, Okami. Generally, "fighting" based games. My brother told me to try Halo, which I enjoyed, and I kicked some ass on Call Of Duty online once. I really like Gears Of War II. I think girls just need to ease into it. Give them some time :)

TheDreamsprite3 Says:

Nov 12, 2009 - I consider myself a girl gamer but i'm definitely not a hardcore one. My first games on the PS were V rally and over board and then eventually moving onto spyro and crash but i've always been a fan of turn based strategy games aka FF. My fave Genre tends to be RPG, not a major fan of FPS apart from multiplaying with chums. I find a decent storyline (that appeals to everyone- male and female) is the main problem when it comes to attracting the various audiences. FYI got bored of prince of persia

bbbbbb222222 Says:

Nov 12, 2009 - implying I want even more "LOOK IM GIRL GAMER, LOOK AT MY BOOBS, I'M SEXAY! DERP". why'd anyone want more gurl gamers? I mean... even in the game industry, it's not like they are not making fortunes with guys already.

TheDreamsprite3 Says:

Nov 13, 2009 - I don't want more 'gurl games' that are all pink and fluffy and patronize the female audience. Plus if the game industry only limits itself to just the one sex then they'd lose a huge amount of potential revenue from female gamers 0.o. @bbbbb222222 why dont you want more girl gamers? had you arse handed to you too may times by the fairer gender? :P

BlondeAmbition247 Says:

Nov 13, 2009 - you are the reason why they are making pink and fluffy games!!!! Women do not want that we are bing sterotyped into being percieved that we want that! Its only dumb men out there thinking we want pink and fluffy!

BlondeAmbition247 Says:

Nov 13, 2009 - I agree the overwhelming amount of men who hit on girl gamers can cause women to stay away from games as well

moltengrace Says:

Nov 14, 2009 - when did the guest speaker ever even speak

SOULTH13F Says:

Nov 14, 2009 - Women belong in kitchen, not game industries. Halo is for casuals. Peggle is not for casuals. And as soon as I heard Halo, a had a bad outlook on this video.

TheDreamsprite3 Says:

Nov 14, 2009 - @BlondeAmbition247 when you say 'you' are you referring to moi? because I'm against game developers making games that fit the girl stereotype. @SOULTH13F and boys should be learning how to use grammar correctly while us women are supposedly in the kitchen... poisoning your food o.0

FacesOfThree Says:

Nov 14, 2009 - Im a dude im not shure how old you are but when i was 6 a good 13 years ago i played those games your taking the steps to becoming a hardcore gamer like i did oh so long ago and by the way spyros awesome. and so is blood rayne, and loara croft its sad what happened to them they became meh instead of aweeesome.

McGizzle64 Says:

Nov 16, 2009 - Women dont belong playing games they should be in the kitchen making me a sammich

FrustratedWhiteMale Says:

Nov 18, 2009 - I agree. But the casual gamers are becoming the focus of the market makes me rage

FreakyFandom Says:

Nov 18, 2009 - how bout we all just gt the fuck over it and play? hmm? no boobs about it

BlueElectrona Says:

Nov 18, 2009 - I really do like this subject and agree with adapting but not losing the base of our games i don't want next gen consoles with all puzzles and simulations (i like those too) but I say try it can't hurt just millions lol anyways a good idea was that PS3 commercial were the girl thought Uncharted 2 was a movie maybe we could do more movie like games but, hell this is where it gets confusing keeping gameplay without a 100 cut-scenes. So far I think FFXIII is a good start the char isn't all showy.

GENIUSGT Says:

Nov 21, 2009 - What about the racial differences. Most gamers are white. This may also be due by the fact that the protagonists in video games are mostly white as well.

magicdaniel9 Says:

Nov 22, 2009 - impressive, keep doing this
