When will Afghan men decide women are equals? Is it societal? What would it take? Democracy is more hopeful than DICTATORSHIP. But it seems there is too much to overcome. It makes me so sad.

Nov 25, 2009 - If anyone in the world does not truly believe in freedom for others, then they don't believe in it for his/herself and that's one part of the long road towards peace. The steps of getting there is not with the trigger of a gun or the blast of a bomb, but with enlightenment of the heart and mind. It is illogical to think that support for regimes that torture and rape women will ultimately liberate them. War is not peace, and ignorance is not strength. We understand the truth here.
