Jun 18, 2008 - Mmmmm very tasty looking. I love Jalapeno poppers. I make them at home in the oven. I once tried Habanero poppers. Ummm it tasted great for about 3 seconds before my mouth was on fire. LOL :)

Sep 12, 2008 - Believe me...I felt sorry for me as well :) I did learn a very good lesson however. Good reason why you never see stuffed habaneros ;)

gqtexan Says:

Sep 13, 2008 - Ain't that the truth! I love stuffed jalapenos from a night a friend made them on the grill when about 10 drunk boys came into our house at 230 am in the morning and had a ball making them. Never been the same since.

TrashTalkinJuicers Says:

Sep 13, 2008 - That really looks fantastic but I bet that tastes hotter than the center of a bonfire in the middle of July lol!

gqtexan Says:

Sep 13, 2008 - You would be plesantly surprised. Hot as far as heat is concerned, but let it cool off a bit out of the oven. You don't have those seeds in there, which accounts for it's internal heat.

TrashTalkinJuicers Says:

Sep 13, 2008 - Is that right? If that's the case I need to try some. I'm thinking more about habanero peppers as they are super hot cooked or raw. Thanks for sharing that.

geokills Says:

Sep 13, 2008 - Indeed, the hab's are definitely a few steps up from the spicey jap's! The cream cheese also helps to quell the spice, as dairy products can unlock the capsaicin from your tongue's taste receptors, thereby affording some measure of relief. As mentioned, I also scooped out the seeds in these (but tried to leave the membrane because I DO like it hot! :)

TrashTalkinJuicers Says:

Sep 14, 2008 - Thanks for the info Geokills. I never had one of these before but they look delicious. I did however try a stuffed habanero one time and one time only much to my dismay. I never ran to a glass of water so fast in my life after eating one. Perhaps I should have gone for the half half instead lol?

Jan 15, 2009 - Wow! i never heard of stuffed jalapenos! im gonna try them

Destructerator Says:

May 25, 2009 - someone dropped about a bushel of jalapenos off on our front porch (we live around a lot of farmers) and this is what we were thinkin of doing with them...

geokills Says:

May 25, 2009 - Don't think, just do it! Slice, seed, fill with cream cheese, wrap in bacon, place on rack with drip tray in a 375 degree oven for 30 - 45 minutes or until the bacon is crisped. They can be kept in the oven for longer if you need to, as there is a lot of moisture from the bacon fat and cream cheese, you can't really dry these things out.
