Nov 5, 2009 - It's so likely they will use the same formula of previous disaster movies. Anyway I'll check this movie if I can. I cannot judge on the story, but the effects are awesome! Though I had to admit it can be so far-fetched like "The Day After Tomorrow".

The director said that he did not use New York because he felt like he had done enough to it in his past films; it got blown up by aliens in Independence Day, It got demolished in Godzilla (1998), and got flooded and then froze over in The Day After Tomorrow. BUT COME ON!! Wouldn't it have been cool to see the great city of New York be brought to it's knees by a 10.5 scale earthquake???
