My husband left me two weeks before Freddie died, I didn't cry for my husband but I was totally heartbroken when Freddie died, I suppose it was because he was such a lovely person. I always think of him at this time of the year. I agree there has never been a performer like Freddie.

His vocal range was downright freakish, especially considering that he was a heavy smoker and not exactly a fitness freak. Many vocalists become extremely anal about their voices and do everything under the sun to protect and improve their voices. With Freddie, it was a completely natural and effortless gift.....
