Aug 19, 2009 - As much as I would have liked to see Jenn win, Karen made West Side Story. She stole the show. It's kind of sad when, at the curtain call, Anita gets bigger applause than Tony, but that's the way it was when I saw WSS.

Aug 20, 2009 - I absolutely ADORE Jennifer Damiano, and think her performance in N2N is absolutely amazing, but I do think Karen deserved the Tony just as much as she did. Particularly after seeing this video, which brought tears to my eyes. Karen is such a genuine, lovely person, and so I'm happy she won. Plus, Jennifer's only 18(?), no doubt she's going to have more opportunities to win a Tony! She's just amazing :) Her and JBW = 3

Sep 9, 2009 - Karen sooooo deserved the Tony. Her performance in WSS was the highlight of the show. She truly shines as Anita. I saw the show on Labor Day weekend and it is spectacular and Karen is the light on that stage. She makes you laugh and cry for her and not to mention is a fantastic dancer. She is also the biggest sweetheart. She happily signed my playbill posed for a picture with me! Congrats Karen!

Sep 16, 2009 - The original Anita, Chita Rivera, (who oddly enough wasn't nominated 4 her role in WSS) didn't do too badly w/ the rest of her career either. She went on to win two Tonys and become a Broadway legend.

Sep 27, 2009 - All the nominees for this category were amazingly talented, especially karen and jenn, but right when karen won it, it just looked like she was mad or something, like she didnt want to win. But she really did deserve it. And jenn looked so happy when they said her name, so i hope she was still happy even when she didn't win. She is so sweet.
