May 26, 2009 - Freeview in Australia is a joke. I sell tv's at an electronic retailer and i feel sorry for people who buy $3-4000 tele's thinking they're future-proofed. Sure they'll get the 15 channels now, but give it a couple of years and Freeview will undoubtedly change the broadcast format from MPEG2 to MPEG4, meaning they'll still have to buy a new set top box to receive any extra channels. Freeview and what the government is doing is fucked.
