Oct 21, 2009 - Climate change is a trend not anomalies. You can still have cold records while there is a change in the average temperatures. Your example of the heat record is case in point (assuming it is true). 1756 was during "The Little Ice-age" when temperatures were significantly lower that normal, and yet a heat record was still set. Now that it was a heat record did not mean there was not a cooling at the time, it only shows that anomalies can and do occur.

I fail to see your link between belief in some supernautural being (which I do not possess) and belief in global warming (which I do). Except perhaps for the fact that they are both man-made. Give me some peer-reviewed journals descrediting GW and I will consider your argument. Until then, don't throw another uninformed loud voice into the debate that has already become so removed from the science it is based on

Oct 30, 2009 - Actually I would say that the reason the Right so strongly denies climate change is because they are loath to accept that many of the solutions that are becoming more apparently required fall along the lines of regulation and social equality - policies favoured by the Left. Therefore, this is a case of the Right refusing to accept CC to further their political objectives, rather than the Left using CC to further theirs.
