Sep 6, 2009 - meh IMO there shouldn't be a problem with copyright unless someone is MAKING MONEY off of someone elses stuff.

Sep 6, 2009 - I want people to have free expression, and obviously culture becomes part of everybody in society. But what about the right of musicians/ writers to get paid for their work? Girltalk works in the day as a biological engineer- but he expects to be paid for his day job- what if people ''borrowed' his data, put it on the web, and his employers said they didnt need to pay him anymore!? hed say it was unfair! Or if other mash-up acts copied his jams?

Sep 6, 2009 - Another point- multinational record labels are ruthless money-making machines, but the artistsmay only get 1 or 2% of their turnover- this is not fair. Butjust to be against that, is not automatically an argument against creators having copyright protection. A final ironic thing- the Rolling Stones borrowed(!) from an old gospel lyric/melody 'this may be the last time we pray together' for their song The Last Time!

Sep 8, 2009 - Damn straight! What would the ideology or social standing (liberal, republican, etc) be called when he talks about the 4 points at 3:00 or so? Rules are getting worse and worse with limiting gun laws, internet usage (total garbage), roaming fees, etc. Everyone can see the greedy corporations R*gers and B*ll extorting people, but we cannot do anything about it in Canada.

Nov 6, 2009 - copyleft: old copuright law needs to see 2009 year: things are different. Also it is important if the user takes other creation's not as a profesional, but as a hbby maker, without earning money. etc etc. To be free or not to be.
