When you exclude portions, that's call censorship. If that's what you prefer, go for it, get your lies in order because a true Christian will hammer you with the proper verses. If you think that Lakewood church doesn't know Jesus well brother bad news is that they do know about Jesus Christ. They are doing a good job of spreading the Gospel around the world. Nov 20, 2009 - I totally agree. It's sad to see people would choose their "best life now" than everlasting life w/ God. Jesus said it simply, "If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me." Luke 9:23. Denying oneself doesn't seem to agree w/ one's "best life now". When Peter was asked what to do in order to be saved, he also said, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. Acts 2:38.

Nov 20, 2009 - i think Joel is doing a great job preaching how good is god and backing it up with scripture Every other preacher Preaches about sin and repentance WE need different preachers style not all the same plus People know they are Sinners know they are Sinners the only way you can reach the unreachable Sinners is by a different massage just like Joel's and we still get to have our regular preachers Amen to that.

Nov 20, 2009 - Well if people know they are sinners and supposedly know about sin, then why do they keep on sinning? Newsflash, we're not the smartest creatures on planet earth. We need things pointed out to us. We need to be told what will damn our souls to hell and what we need to do for our sins to be washed away. Even a half assed sermon would address this but not Joel. He's more concerned about being liked than being a minister of the gospel.

We are told to not be of this world but to be transformed by the renewing of your mind. God does this through His word.

Nov 20, 2009 - Step back from religion and start reading the Bible. Start with the book of Romans. It provides you a guide on how to be saved. Only through the word you will know God and establish a relationship with him through his son Jesus. Don't trust emotions because the human heart is deceitful. The Bible says in Jeremiah 17:9 that the "heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure." I'll send you a video on salvation. I hope it will give you some comfort. Jesus loves you that he died for you.
