Nov 22, 2009 - to call these cows an abomination would be to call pink tipped white roses as well. it just selective breeding. it happens in nature an alligator will not mate with the weaker male. this is just humans stepping in to take it a little farther. besides that cow looks yummy

bangurdead102 Says:

Nov 22, 2009 - this is how animals change in nature, were just doing the changing, every single step of the family tree, so it moves a little faster I imagine, if you really think this is gonna happen to everything then I guess your thinking big government, eugenics, and what not, this is just a cause of a breeder making a breed, the whole point of life? there is no point, you live your lives regardless of if your perfectly built for your environment.

bangurdead102 Says:

Nov 22, 2009 - I bet they did less to that animal than we've done to dogs, dogs are what an "end" result to what an animal optimized for humans looks like...although a giant blob of meat might be what an animal optimized for being food might look like .

hungryhippo2 Says:

Nov 22, 2009 - Same thing has been done with pigs, resulting in damaged joints, And sometimes lung and heart problems.

mystiklife Says:

Nov 22, 2009 - i heard that in Israel they developed genetically modified goats or cow which can give u hundreds of litters of milk but now i think it might be from the selective breading ...its freaky ...

Skott62 Says:

Nov 23, 2009 - Thats a bit scary. LOL The genetic selection process as shown in the video is better than the old way of using chemical hormones to get the desired effect since chemical hormones have been accused of being linked to cancer.

ArseneWenger12891 Says:

Nov 23, 2009 - what predators ?? Its not like their in the wild and even then all that muscle wouldnt help them from a lion lol

CollapseDev Says:

Nov 23, 2009 - Not useless just not useful LOL

Stickalas Says:

Nov 23, 2009 - Just because we have domesticated the Cow, doesn't mean that without our intervention it wouldn't have had any natural predators. It is an animal on a secondary tertiary level, which means that it is likely that it would normally have at least 1 or 2 predators in the wild. Also in the wild, predators (usually groups of predators) would single out the weakest of the herd to concentrate their efforts. Because this animal is larger it would not have been singled out over less massive individuals.
