This is probably the reason for the drug problem. Mike Douglas seems to be more respectful to Sly than Dick Cavett. I thank God that there is You Tube to listen to music such as Sly and the Family Stone. Most of today's music is garbage.

There's some idiot who actually thinks that a video of Sly et al with short HAIRCUTS, meant that they wore wigs over it. Never HEARD of someone getting a short haircut in summer, or just to take a break for a while?? Duh.

Apr 23, 2009 - I once talked to someone when doing my radio show that mentioned he worked with Sly and he was known to wear different style wigs, no big deal to me, it's just what I was told some years ago. I like the wigs I thought they looked cool. Sly also had his teeth fixed when they became more popular. You will notice that in the earlier videos.

Oct 25, 2009 - yep ! he was to perform at hamilton place, I was excited to finally see him but he came on stage, sang 1/2 a song and then walked of the stage...that was it the show was over. I still enjoy listening to him and the band over the years consider him to be one of the coolest.
