May 3, 2009 - guuuauuu un extraoordinario primer actor, uno de los mejores que existen en la cinematografia

miknrene Says:

May 31, 2009 - The gracefulness of his speech is even more marked in contrast to James Cameron's "I'm King of the World" (for Titanic's Best Picture) later that evening.

JoeyFudd Says:

May 31, 2009 - Good point, Cameron did a great job with that movie but should have filed that self-indulgent line as something to sing in his shower at at the Beverly Hills Hotel later that night. It struck a sour note. Especially with about 1,500 passengers dead.

Jun 6, 2009 - This was the best Academy Award acceptance speech I ever saw. Class.

kingcaesar5 Says:

Jun 11, 2009 - this was 2000, Cameron was 1998.

kingcaesar5 Says:

Jun 11, 2009 - in 1989 he presented the BSA to Kline along with Connery and Roger Moore, which was hilarious. He also took time before he announce the nominees to deliever a mini speech.

QueenMajora Says:

Aug 20, 2009 - He is such a class act.

jollymanbigboy Says:

Aug 22, 2009 - I have to say he shows a lot of dignity. He is a great actor and has that voice meant for narration (The Prestige). I was kind of bugged that Tom didn't win, but I like how Caine humbles himself here.

hindrluvr Says:

Sep 28, 2009 - He deserved to win. His performance was perfect.

GoWithTh3Flow Says:

Oct 26, 2009 - That is one amazing man and one spectacular actor. Long live Sir Michael.

JoeyFudd Says:

Oct 31, 2009 - Yeah, I thought Tom Cruise was overdue after getting overlooked in "Rainman." But notice how humble Caine is near the end too, putting Charlize Theron above him by saying she "inhabits" rather than acts and then thanks the kids he "acted" with, meaning he did not inhabit his role too.

JoeyFudd Says:

Oct 31, 2009 - You'll also notice that Michael Clarke Duncan was forced to have a delayed reaction to the winner. He was in the unlucky position of SHARING the first 2 1/2 syllables of Michael Caine's name!! So, unlike Tom, after the first 2 1/2 syllables have been spoken for the winner, Duncan is not sure if he won or not.

Nov 3, 2009 - the don

lundholmproduction Says:

Nov 5, 2009 - Why did Tom Cruse get a nomnation i don´t understand.

JoeyFudd Says:

Nov 5, 2009 - OK, why did Henry Fonda win for On Golden Pond? Partly for his body of work. Tom was the first actor in history to star in five consecutive films that grossed $100 million in the USA: A Few Good Men (1992), The Firm (1993), Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles (1994), Mission: Impossible (1996), Jerry Maguire (1996). Plus his work in Rainman, Born on the Fourth of July, Top Gun, Taps, Risky Business, etc. And he never won before! Nominated for Magnolia in this clip.

cokieblume Says:
