Jan 6, 2009 - Do you ever have a problem with a "film" being left on your hair after using shea butter? I do and i was wondering if it was something i was doing wrong. i love the stuff, but i have a "ashy" look on my hair afterwards. Maybe using too much? Also, do you think that adding oils and aloe like you have, makes a difference and might get rid of that ashen look? I will have to try this! I have a denman and i like it. Where can i find an aloe vera plant that hasn't had any pesticides added to it?

Jan 19, 2009 - when you do so, do you rinse after? or just left it in your hair just as a leave-in conditioner?

crownofHisglory Says:

Jan 19, 2009 - yes, you have to use it sparingly... experimenting is the best way to find out the answers to the questions you have... an organic food store should have aloe without pesticides.

tweetyg7 Says:

Jan 20, 2009 - did you rinse after putting it? or not?

Feb 20, 2009 - hi, if u dont mind me asking..what is your hair type?

angelslight7 Says:

Mar 3, 2009 - If you have film being left on your hair it is because your using shea butter that has been mixed with something. I know one brand to look out for is "African shea butter" is kind has a yellow background on cap. They'll sell you tainted butter. If you don't believe me type in " Don't buy it! their shea butter" ! Pass the word on about this company!!!!

May 23, 2009 - SUGGESTION: You should have tried to melt the Shea butter and use a blender to blend the she butter and aloe. Then let it sit to harden again. Then apply to hair.

cherri7 Says:

May 25, 2009 - Oh so you blended the hard jelly that is in the aloe plant?
