Jul 17, 2009 - Rockets are usually launched near oceans for a good reason, it is easy to get the trajectory/wind so that the 1st stage falls down to earth over water where not only is free of people but makes for a soft landing + easy to tow back to base. BTW, when you saw that rocket, it wasn't falling, it was still speeding up into the sky at 1000 miles per hour, it is just the second stage with the camera on it was going much faster. Though it would eventually fall back to earth.

Oct 17, 2009 - RazakSat shld be at an altitude of 680km..twice as high as the ISS.. Last altitude heard in this video was 250km.. wish we could see video tranmission all the way up to 600km!!
