The thing many first world countries have in common is colonization by an advanced empire who more or less ignored/killed natives and just established their own way of life as opposed to manipulating/oppressing them as in Africa. Fun fact: Where did the internet (what we are esentially using to have this conversation) come from? A: A US MILITARY PROJECT. I know we're not the best, but we certainly aren't the most vile thing this world has to offer. Yeah we f*ed up some things, but you can't deny our progress either.
