Oct 29, 2009 - always wondered why 2 stroke's are illegal in most states for on road use

taymacjack Says:

Oct 29, 2009 - your point is?

Oct 30, 2009 - haha

1dirosa1 Says:

Nov 3, 2009 - so why dont they use 2-strokes in cars?

foxracing279 Says:

Nov 4, 2009 - its a bitch to mix gas they pollute alot they are trying to get rid of them from dirt bikes so they defiantly wont put them in cars.

1dirosa1 Says:

Nov 4, 2009 - oookkk thx man

troynendel Says:

Nov 6, 2009 - When the GP 500 race class rules were changed to allow four stroke engines, they had to double the engine displacement in order to keep up with the 2-strokes. Even with the displacement advantage, they didn't always win. A multi port, injected 2 stroke can burn clean and efficiently.

TheGuyOnDownStreet Says:

Nov 6, 2009 - Piston acting like a piston? wtf was this guy talking about lol.

Waffles91 Says:

Nov 7, 2009 - They consume much more gasoline, they have a much shorter lifetime, much noisier, and fuel/air does not enter/exit the chamber as efficiently as a 4 stroke.

criticalzen Says:

Nov 8, 2009 - Great video. Because of the noise created by the 2 stroke exhast, the engine is deemed illegal in most states. Also, it has a higher carbon emmissions rating. Even though this engine is truely excellent and affordable, it has been set out as a polluter. This I feel is wrong having no verifiable proof of the engines actual effect on global warming. The laws only serve to keep people with less money off the lakes and off the trails. Just another way to keep the less fortunate down.

chubbychicken1234567 Says:

Nov 9, 2009 - they consume fuel quick and you have to mix oil cost a lot of money for oil and gasoline

prodigious08 Says:

Nov 10, 2009 - why the hell they dont put Two-stroke Engines at cars????

f50tube Says:

Nov 11, 2009 - because if all cars were two-stroke we would all be dead from intoxication. One obvious reason is less pollution because two-stroke engines burn oil and gasoline. Fun fact (or not so fun): A scooter (which uses two stroke engine) in one day pollutes as much as a car in 1 year.

jules2650 Says:

Nov 12, 2009 - 2stroke engines where used in cars. The Eastern European Trabant was one of them.

SeasOfRhye Says:

Nov 12, 2009 - You have to consider, a 2 stroke only makes alot of horsepower within a very small, optimum RPM range, as well as having less torque than a 4 stroke of the same size. If you've ever taken a ride on an old city transit bus from the 70's or 80's then you've probably experienced that loss of speed when the engine is slowed below that optimum RPM (going up a hill for instance).

spyke99999 Says:

Nov 14, 2009 - maybe if it's a huge bore jetted by helen keller, but otherwise no.

Emoticonjon Says:

Nov 15, 2009 - This guy looks like he has dip in lmao

worldskater31 Says:

Nov 19, 2009 - you gotta put oil and gas in a four stroke.

worldskater31 Says:

Nov 19, 2009 - i didnt think it was the sound. i thought it was polluting to much with its exhaust withthe oil and gas.

MattUK2007 Says:

Nov 19, 2009 - Good video - Thank you.

moh960 Says:

Nov 19, 2009 - its wondreful thank for that moh adam

Nov 20, 2009 - @SeasOfRhye You have got to be DREAMING!!!!!!!! If you were catching a bus in the 70's, no wonder youre out of touch BIG TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nov 22, 2009 - good video i'm glad he explained that so good

wolfy9005 Says:

Nov 22, 2009 - But who really rides a 2 stroke out of the power range? Nobody.....

gokartcrazzy1114 Says:

Nov 25, 2009 - bull shit look at the wankel engine.
