Nov 3, 2009 - Scozzafava and people like her belong in the Democratic party. Why do they pretend to be Republican? A party is supposed to have a platform, have goals. Like smaller government, lower taxes, strong defense, fiscal responsibility Scazzafaba didn't support any of these and shouldn't be a republican. I think you have to support at least a few platform planks or you should belong to a different club. She wasn't really in our "tent" anyway. Let her go over to the sideshow called the Dems

Nov 4, 2009 - 'Blue State' New Jersey Turns Red November 03, 2009 So much for the Obama bounce....

Zedd8291 Says:

Nov 4, 2009 - You are aware that A Perfect Circle recorded that song as a direct protest of the Bush administration, and world leaders, are you not? Not saying I'm in support of it or against it, but it seems completely out of place.

Eterna1Soldier Says:

Nov 4, 2009 - Republicans sweep Virginia and New Jersey! 2010 will be a slaughter for Dems.

Leadman1989 Says:

Nov 4, 2009 - im well aware of the meaning behind the song it's obvious to anyone that watches the video (the one with the sheep) it's some what out of place but not as much as you may think it depends on where you stand

Zedd8291 Says:

Nov 4, 2009 - Yeah, I suppose so.

nospacesallowed Says:

Nov 4, 2009 - Out of all the elections it seems that the 23rd was the most interesting. And the tent gets smaller and smaller. I don't really understand what the Republicans strategy is in the long term by purging moderates. I get it maybe as a 2010 strategy but not a 2012. Unless the point is that only the base is going to remember the purge. And that after 2010 the gop sprints towards the center.

stme2008 Says:

Nov 4, 2009 - so a mean hateful name calling dem lost in NJ no surprise dems wont support awful people. NY embrassed the hate tea party folks so the dems won there. Virginia has ALWAYS voted against the President they elected they ALWAYS vote in the Opposite party during the Mid Term Elections.they have done this for the past NINE elections that I know of. so Verginia is No Surprise at all! so real lesson learned dems stay nice and repubs drop tea party folks.

CupahNoodles Says:

Nov 4, 2009 - Something about this guy I do not like, it's maybe because he sounds like a dick.

HarrisonCountyStudio Says:

Nov 4, 2009 - Maybe the point is... there is no center? Maybe a few people are realizing that you either believe in the Constitution or you believe that if you are in power you can do what you want. I don't know about you, but I'm happy to see a line drawn in the sand.

nospacesallowed Says:

Nov 4, 2009 - Neither party believes in the constitution. Not totally. And even if it is this "your with the constitution or against it" you have to keep in mind that even in the times of the founding fathers they had disagreements on what the constitution meant. You see only black and white when Grey is abundant.

HarrisonCountyStudio Says:

Nov 4, 2009 - I concur, neither party follows the constitution. However, our founding fathers arguments centered on does this document do enough to constrain the central government. Will this document prohibit the central government from infringing on our Liberties? Our founding fathers's disagreements were on the strength of this document in protecting the individual; hence the "Bill of Rights". I have not read that any of our founding father thought we should take from a few and redistribute to others...

tubaboy71 Says:

Nov 4, 2009 - The dem was right of the GOP until Hoffman entered. Hoffman didn't start getting support until 3 and a half weeks before the race.If I was a lefty I would be worried that the VP drew a crowd of under 150 (INCLUDING THE MEDIA) to that race and the fact Obama took the time out of his busy schedule of playing golf to make multiple in person speeches for the 2 governor races that they lost.

tubaboy71 Says:

Nov 4, 2009 - When they are left of the democrat they are running against are they really a republican? She was FOR the health care bill and "cap and tax", Owen's the democrat is less of a spender, is NOT for the "cap and tax" as it sits and he can't be for the health care bill as it sis either.

tyro69 Says:

Nov 4, 2009 - If moderate or what they call big tent means Supporting Big Government ,Card Check,Gay marriage,Socialist Healthcare,Re-distribution of wealth and virtually everything against our founding fathers believed in, Purge them all I say.Thats Democrat light not Conservative.I rather lose the country now than drip by drip leftward bound. If America wants to follow these Chairman MAO quoting socialist then so be it but I'm not going to be any part of it even if they dress in sheep clothing.

JohananRaatz Says:

Nov 4, 2009 - The libs just refer to everyone to the left of center as moderate. Not that they actually are, they merely wish to shift the Overton window towards their side. If we had any brains we'd call ourselves moderates and define "moderation" as being moderately conservative.
