Are you one whining because your ipod has only 1 gig?, then fuckin hange yourself because that must be A SERIOUS PRODUCT PROBLEM TO SOLVE.

Jun 1, 2009 - Great satire. My brother used this video as inspiration to write a satirical play for his final high school senior year project. Got a 96. Just fantastic.

Jun 19, 2009 - It amazes me the number of people that have watched this piece and totally missed the point. Teenage Affluenza does exist, it's not attacking teens it's stating the facts in a satirical manner. WE (as in people in developed nations) worry about stuff that in comparision to what others in the world face is nothing, not important in the slightest.

Jun 23, 2009 - What, do you two (angelsoforion and hahayourdead33) think only people of color suffer from poverty? We happen to live in a mere wink in human history, when predominantly-white North America and Europe are generally prosperous and peaceful, but that has certainly not always been the case. Child poverty is not caused by skin color, nor by character defects of its victims, nor by globalization or exploitation by white men.
ncdave4life Says:
Jun 23, 2009 - The causes vary from place to place, but include corrupt, despotic governments, natural disasters epidemics, invasions and wars, and -- most of all -- the hardness of human hearts. The cure for child poverty is to cure hardening of the heart. The cure for a heart heart is a new Resident within it. Invite Christ to make His home there and wonderful things will begin to happen. Google "fruits of the spirit" (in quote marks).
ncdave4life Says:
Jun 23, 2009 - Sopez1, politics is part of the picture, as is religion. The more prosperous parts of the world tend to be capitalist (rather than socialist), and predominantly Christian (rather than Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, atheist, etc.). However, there are some exceptions, such as Japan (capitalist, but less than 2.5% Christian), the Middle-Eastern oil sheikdoms (Muslim), and Sweden (socialist-capitalist blend).

castano2001 Says:
Jul 31, 2009 - Is the condition caused by the lack of Christ as the sole source of spirituality? It has a lot to do also with invasions, wars etc. I'd intensify what u seem 2be saying by stating that it is precisely Teenage Affluenza that prevents the emergence of ppl like Mother Theresa who truly live a Christ-like life make change (in Christs name by the way). The same goes for ppl like Mahatma Gandhi, a great non-Christian person. It's + efficient morally right to focus + on what the video presents.

Oct 1, 2009 - Let's not just lump this on teenagers. From my experience as a teacher, teenagers desperately want to help but face roadblocks from the true masters of affluenza - adults. Next time we adults go to buy a $30 bottle of wine let's stop to think whether the 700mls of liquid is worth it.
EmusAreWeird Says:
Oct 23, 2009 - Teenagers are shaped by their environment. You put all the blame with them. The adults need to change, too, and they need to stop complaining about teenagers and actually do something about it. That doesn't mean more discipline or punishment, it means teaching them and being there, and loving them and giving them the knowledge (of what is really important in life) and ambition and REASONS to be happy without being obsessed with new, insignificant technologies.
BonkLi Says:
Oct 29, 2009 - I'm a teenager, in the United States, and my dad, who's always been one to care about issues such as this, had me watch this video. i'll admit it, i felt pretty put upon at first, but then i listened. Thought. and realized, what do i really have to complain about? surely not having to watch a 5-minute video. at least i have a computer...and...you know....food. you've made me look at my life differently, and for that i thank you.

Oct 31, 2009 - Oh My God. She actually is FORCED to carry the groceries from her toyota corolla (a car is better than no car at all) to her driveway and OH... into her house. watch videos of children in Africa or China and see how they suffer. they have to walk 3 hours just go get to school in the morning. this video is a joke.

Nov 25, 2009 - How enlightening. I'm not rich nor spoiled, but I feel lucky that I'm not living my life like the children from Africa. In my opinion, satire has been the only way to see cruel things, and still feel that it can be fixed. We're lucky and we didn't even noticed it. How disappointing...
