Nov 12, 2009 - Audiboost26 Citydriver, you're both wrong as it's actually the turbo itself making that noise by stalling... the sound you hear is the air being chopped up. It's not the wastegate and neither is it a BOV - both common misconceptions. ;-)

Nov 13, 2009 - Supercharger for the low end, turbo for the top-end. Nothing new to rally cars (search for Lancia Delta S4). VW has been building a "Twincharge" engine in Europe for a few years now. Would really help the car out of the corners and make the torque curve more linear and driveable.
