Anyway I'm just glad to see Disney do a animated film with african americans in it...and the these in Louisiana really was a good idea. New Orleans was the birthplace of jazz founded by african americans and I think this film is good for blacks who's supported disney films for many years...especially the young ones who can relate to characters on the screen.

It's a view that has been taken to extremes so I don't agree w/ it, but I simply made the point that the statement could be taken as racism. Sorry if it sounded too judgemental.

Nov 20, 2009 - It's not that being funny is bad, and it's nice that you have such a positive view of black people, but it's important to judge people on an individual level. I don't think anyone would be terribly upset by you calling black people funny, but it's just a matter of making judgments about people based on their character as opposed to their appearance out of respect for their individuality. I wouldn't so much even call it racist since the word is so loaded- just improper, I guess?

However, I don't think that comment is all that harsh since its, as you said "loaded" with many meanings. which is also why I said it was more of a stereotype then racism. I understand what u mean by judging on an individual level thats what I strive to do everyday as Id hate to be judged simply by my race too.
