Oct 28, 2009 - totally agree with you. I commented on this earlier, but didn't get any answer from Rob... it starts with a point, and ends with a point. Both with indeterminate size. Nothing exists.

Oct 29, 2009 - ok it fails in the first thing what that video says! there are no flat landers so, there is no 4 dimension!!!

Oct 29, 2009 - Congratulations, that is the dumbest comment I have ever seen.

Oct 29, 2009 - i dont get it :F
Sparclen Says:
Oct 29, 2009 - That's because you are not intelligent enough to understand. Also, the flatlander is indeed something that does not exist. It's an imagined creature to simplify the explaining of the concept.
sk84alife Says:
Oct 29, 2009 - acctually i think im pretty intelligent... but this is not a real thing its just an idea, like the idea of a point.
Sparclen Says:
Oct 30, 2009 - I'm sorry for insulting your intelligence. My point is, the video does not fail in anything. It is explaining a concept, a model. Wether there are flatlanders or not, or wether the line at 0:30 actually has a width, is not relevant. It's not just an idea, it IS real. It requires a lot of imagination to imagine the fourth, and higher dimensions, as another direction just like length and depth, but the model works.
DeadFishFactory Says:
Oct 30, 2009 - I think I got all 11 dimensions, but we ALL know that this is a vast oversimplification, and that the actual theory is more mind-numbingly complicated than as portrayed.

Oct 31, 2009 - Is the narrator for this Floyd Favel Starr? I'm thinking i recognize the voice from some radio work he's done for CBC. So far, so good. What i've seen so far covers concepts i'm familiar with and i'm looking forward to viewing more to seeing where the thinking is going. I'm hoping for the best and the explorations don't lead into the twilight zone. %)

Nov 4, 2009 - Yes... Seeing that now as i view some of the other videos. Some excellent content by Mr B, well presented and exceptional on many levels. I'm pleasantly surprised to see he (and his collaborators) hasn't slipped into mystical, magicalism like so many attemting to seem profound. %)

Nov 5, 2009 - If you can imagine 10d's why can't we see beyond 3d?
danielsonse7en Says:
Nov 5, 2009 - because our eyes sense light particles and photons only exist in the first four dimensions
cameronglass Says:
Nov 5, 2009 - what?..a wrinkle in time? wtf. haha!
geek3333 Says:
Nov 6, 2009 - @Juefawn eyes = 3d, brain = multidimension. This is my hint. xD
gtr362 Says:
Nov 6, 2009 - It's in the realm of spirit. When you are focused on a project, it seems that "time" goes by faster. Proving that time is illusory and part of the subjective consciousness. Consider that most dreams take 3-5 seconds. Imagination is part of a deeper subjective consciousness, which may or may not involve sensory aspects. Therefore we can travel to past, or future faster than the speed of light. In the spiritual dimension we are not bound by time, space or matter.
