Oct 28, 2009 - You have a wise head on a young body and what you say is very sensible...new and young does NOT mean IDIOT !...just keep up the great vids and help where you can, thats all you can do. Youtube is brilliant and not around for those so called "big dogs"..it was word of mouth and email forums and before that local groups IF you were lucky to live in a city.

Oct 28, 2009 - It's not that I want more subscribers. I have no problem with the amount that I have.
mytrucolours91 Says:
Oct 28, 2009 - I agree. I really feel that I've earned my subscribers.

Stevienix2009 Says:
Oct 28, 2009 - any one who is trans is a teacher we can all share our experience, ppl who want to see what you have to say will watch your videos .... my experience with the job centre i shared its how we learn things ... keep going ya doing okay :(
gebus84 Says:
Oct 28, 2009 - Mate, we've all suffered.. no matter how short the time, it's still suffering. I guess we can just keep subbing to other people.. and then people will find us. You've got more subscribers than me ;p I agree with what you're saying about the binding thing. I APPRECIATE YOU! :D
Elliotjevans Says:
Oct 28, 2009 - Your advice is really helpful, I love watching your videos. The 'top dogs' are only there because they were some of the first to transition publicly on youtube. You'll get there man, keep at it. Your vids are great, you'll have more and more people watching soon enough.
voelzking Says:
Oct 28, 2009 - i totally agree with you! I sort of feel like unless you been on T for a long time or have had surgery no one really cares or thinks much of you. I feel like we are all in the same boat so no one should be "better" or "more trans" than anyone else.
CreatingChristian Says:
Oct 28, 2009 - very genuine video. i have had similar feelings about the trans hierarchy but have yet to vocalize them in a video. the bottom line is our videos are on youtube and if people do subscribe great and if not, that doesnt necessarily mean there are tons of people watching anyway, taking in our experiences. i am in a very similar situation as you. T was easily attainable for me and surgery has been booked 5 months after T. but i still have my own struggles as a transman.
fudge867 Says:
Oct 28, 2009 - I never even THOUGHT there was such a thing as "trans hierachy". Your adivce is probably some of the MORE useful stuff since we're both in the UK.
Xariabyron Says:
Oct 28, 2009 - find one or more people. you'll find a hierarchy. its pathetic but its the way we as a species work.
flowerpot4147 Says:
Oct 28, 2009 - Yeah dude I agree with you, your right, just cause you have only been transitioning for a year, doesn't mean that you advice isn't valid, I think you have a good voice, a good head on your shoulders and give really good advice. I actually prefer talking with lesser known youtube trans guys, because well they seem more approachable, and reply most of the time. Your videos were some of the first i watch when i was first coming out, and they helped a lot, so keep it up.
Defzepp77 Says:
Oct 28, 2009 - Definately understand what yopu are saying. I think that if you want to get noticed better try changing where you shoot your videos. People like different views. You know like your car or the park or in the backyard. Good Luck
Jaxluvsyou15 Says:
Oct 28, 2009 - I honestly don't understand my amount of subscribers. i think it was because i was one of the first T Soffa's to really begin to speak out. It just sorta happens. I have no plans to be famous or make a name I just want to help :) Your opinion matters just as much as mine and your knowledge. props to you for this video. Even though it made me feel sort of...on target...haha. def subscribing. you matter. Youtube doesn't make you less trans love bug
Jaxluvsyou15 Says:
Oct 28, 2009 - hahahhahaha
laidbaqq Says:
Oct 29, 2009 - Hm I hear what you're saying. I personally don't subscribe to people unless they say something interesting, have good quality videos or are seeking help. As for my subscribers, I speak up a lot on a LGBT website where most of my viewers are lesbians and are seeking information. I think a lot of it has to do with your approach and how well you hold attention.
Gizmogle Says:
Oct 29, 2009 - I asked you for help with binding ages ago cause I couldn't get a binder and didn't know what kinda bandages to use. You proper helped me with passing. I appreciate it! Plus I'd feel kinda intimidated going to one of the big trans guys and asking about this stuff, cause it's like "YEAH! I'm more trans than you and you're doing this wrong and you should do this and not this and HAH!" Maybe I'm just talking shit :)
mytrucolours91 Says:
Oct 29, 2009 - I'm sorry you felt on target love. I really tried to not aim it as specific people.
Jaxluvsyou15 Says:
Oct 29, 2009 - no its okay hun i hear what youre saying totally
universalJok3r Says:
Oct 29, 2009 - well, advice is advice, whether its good or bad. Even though people may have been there longer, it doesn't automatically mean they can only provide good advice. I may not be on hormones but I still know more about what they are and what they do than most people just from studying biology. Older isn't always wiser. an example of bad advice is people telling others how to self medicate, while it may be done with good intentions, it can have terrible consequences. so just keep doing what your do.
freshlycharles Says:
Oct 30, 2009 - Great video. I think that there is this real pressure to conform to the gender binary. If you don't, then you aren't "trans enough". Also, sometimes I think there is a real lack of class/finacial analysis or sensitivity. Hell, so many people don't have access to the internet and can't even interact with a trans support network. And yes, transpeople. I like that cause I only identify as trans (not male nor female). (appreciation)
maf1214 Says:
Oct 30, 2009 - I agree with Stevienix2009. I just found you and subscribed. We are all on the same path, but walking on a different road if that makes sense.

Oct 28, 2009 - The interesting thing about this top dog situation is that from what I have assertained on YT at least is that most of their subscribers are actually their friends from college/university who they came out to, they put their YT name on all of their social networking websites etc so of course their numbers go up. Stupidly some times they then feel superior to those of us that have genuinely 200 subs when they have 1000 subs most of whom they know in the outside world who aren't trans.
