emotaco9 Says:

Oct 12, 2009 - This is from 1939? Either cartoons haven't advance much or this is some damn good production.

strangefruit64 Says:

Oct 26, 2009 - Yep, this is fantastic. Perfectly animated ... I remember I started my first work and painted each cel and backgrounds the old fashioned way. This is one of the "prototypes" ... I remember Mickey made his screen debut around 1928 ...

Asteriks Says:

Oct 29, 2009 - Wasn't this cartoon made in 1939? A year after Chamberlain pronounced PEACE IN OUR TIME after Munich, and during the time that tensions were lessened (more PEACE!) by the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact between Stalin and Hitler (aka the man who "rebuilt" Germany)? The LEFTIST view of "PEACE" always pretends to be wiser-than-thou by imagining that war was made by equally culpable (and crazed) sides, and forgetting the totalitarian régimes that crushed their (defenseless) citizens made war necessary

LordPaul256 Says:

Oct 29, 2009 - Care to explain how WW2 was won by a LEFTIST President after a RIGHTIST President made the worst depression even worse? Or how a LEFTIST President got us into Vietnam? You should hang out with us non-political people sometime. You'd be surprised how insanely stupid you all look to us.

Asteriks Says:

Oct 30, 2009 - The first thing I notice about your comment is that there is only one way to think, and anybody who thinks otherwise, or who simply weighs evidence in a different way than you do, or who comes to a different conclusion than the PC version of history, can only be "insanely stupid". Similarly, check out the main "arguments", allegedly intelligent, against Bush, Palin, their followers, the Republicans, etc: they are insane, stupid, treacherous (how more nuanced than that can you get?!)

Asteriks Says:

Oct 30, 2009 - Secondly, the main term here should perhaps not refer to right/left, but to state interventionism — which was the case for HH as well as for LBJ. In that perspective, why not search YT for the film "Just Wild: The American Form of Government" (but I fear your avant-garde (sic) reaction will be to call it "insanely stupid") Finally, I would invite you to read "Liberal Fascism" — notably the chapters about FDR, JFK, LBJ (no, I am NOT saying they were fascists per se, nor is Jonah Goldberg)

iambeatle1 Says:

Nov 5, 2009 - If only humans could get a clue.

pganton Says:

Nov 7, 2009 - The message of this very important and old cartoon is clear: KILL ALL THE VEGETARIANS BEFORE THEY DESTROY THE WORLD

NotOrdinaryInGames Says:

Nov 14, 2009 - Something more-or-less suggestive leads to 9000 thousands comments. And 8999 of them are negative in some way.

NotOrdinaryInGames Says:

Nov 14, 2009 - Feels a bit too silly. The remake is better.

pytko3 Says:

Nov 17, 2009 - Amen brother.

Mariobus1 Says:

Nov 24, 2009 - Good storytelling and animation. I can imagine this to be more contemporary. Realizing 1939 is incredibly amazing.
