I've seen them live, spoke with him for a bit and yes he is that talented, why is why they are on tv. It's not unheard of for bands to be amazing live, look at sigur ros, you don't see everyone accusing them of lip-syncing yet their live sets are perfect. Relax man, enjoy the music..=)

Nov 16, 2009 - Yeah, it's a pretty classic electric piano sound. I'm not sure if he runs it through his pedalboard, but it is amplified by his Hot Rod Deluxe/Deville, which might add a little color or natural overdrive.
