The legendary "Simpsons" had their genesis on The Tracey Ullman Show, starting in 1986 on the then up-and-coming FOX Network. Their story line was usually split up into three or four short segments, and shown as "blackout sketches" in between the live-action comedy sketches. This one is called "Bart's Haircut," written by Matt Groening. An aggressive barber gives Bart a very short haircut. Bart tries to hide it from the family.
