Aug 12, 2009 - This was the height of the Dalek-schism, and afterwards it would seem that the "renegade" Daleks "won". The 2000+ Daleksare of the original variant, not Davros' new bionic mutants (not even necessarily Kaled mutants either). I suppose that as the Daleks picked up the pieces after the war they determined that their roots were indeed stronger than Davros' new ideal, and they settled on the superiority of the original version. Davros would be more willing to sport a Kaled body in that case.

Aug 12, 2009 - The Time War didn't start in the conventional way - there was no open declaration. Hosilities sort of grew between the two mighty races naturally - the Time Lords interference in Dalek affairs (preventing their creation, etc etc) forced the Daleks to plan for the Time Lords ultimate destruction. Not before they were ready, of course. Docotr Who lore is good because there are so many blanks - you're forced to use your imagination to think and fill in the gaps.

Oct 29, 2009 - The first Dalek episode said that the Daleks were not created, but radiaation changed changed the Kaleds into the Daleks. Maybe the Time Lords sent the Doctor into another time line.
