Nov 14, 2009 - wao o.0

D43ver Says:

Nov 15, 2009 - Of course they got emotional. I mean obviously they spent an extremely large amount of time and hard work making that, having absolutely no clue if it would end up working in all one push. Plus it was a world record. This wasn't even the whole thing, the dominoes were under effect for almost 2 hours long. So much work and it was finally over for them just like that...

TechnologicMe Says:

Nov 15, 2009 - There is a new record now..

Nov 15, 2009 - I understand but I put over 12 years into my guitar playing and I don't get all emotional when I make a leap in my performance. I would get really happy and excited if I broke a record, but I wouldn't be cryin' and huggin' my girlfriend and gettin' all emotional. (plus my girlfriend would probly be like "What the hell are you doing? All you did was play guitar!" haha)

D43ver Says:

Nov 15, 2009 - True, but the difference is when you play guitar on a day to day basis, you aren't preparing for any single event. To get a record deal maybe, but once you finish a performance you don't have to restart all those 12 years of hard practice over again. You simply continue your practice the next day.

Nov 16, 2009 - wow amazing its so hard to do!

shadowofangels32 Says:

Nov 16, 2009 - I'm pretty sure it didn't take them 12 years to put that together lol. And the same concept applies here, they just go home and continue practicing their domino rallies and prepare for the next event. And yes I do practice in preparation of a single event, I'm practicing now for a scholarship that could very well put me into the eyes of record labels. And music is an art form just like this and all art is equally beautiful. So I'm not saying it's not a masterpiece. I just wouldn't be emotional

D43ver Says:

Nov 16, 2009 - You miss the point. Scholarships, record labels, making music, making money isn't a single event. It's more a long process of steps you to complete in order to continue to the next one. You can't really compare the two cycles, since they aren't very relative. Same reason people get emotionally happy at the Olympics. I mean all they did was swim, or all they did was ice skate. Surely they will continue to practice, but they already hit that best-in-the-world mark. Not much to prove after.

shadowofangels32 Says:

Nov 16, 2009 - No I don't miss the point. There is definitely something more to shoot for after this, try to break your own record. And honestly I see no skill in putting a bunch of little plastic pieces side by side and making them fall, sure it takes skill to make it look fancy, but I could go out tomorrow, buy 5 million dominos and set em up in a big line and break the record, not that hard to do. And making money and labels isn't what I'm after, I have a huge passion for music that will never die.

TheDougCLind Says:

Nov 19, 2009 - Great achievement but really lousy video. Even the HQ is poor. The whole thing is jumpy, choppy, and you don't get a good sense of what's going on. Too much cut out. Does the word "suck" ring a bell?

TheFlexMusic Says:

Nov 19, 2009 - Damn thats retarded. It's cool but I could think of better things to do.
